Astonishing photos! Most are very clear and so close. Well done. You must have kept these photos protected as there doesn't seem much deterioration in quality of these. A real treasure!

Just pre-ordered the full set on Ebay. About $60 for the full set with shipping. Not a bad price. Saw some of the individual ones being offered for $40+.

Pete Alonso of the Mets and his Halloween costume last year. This was during the Arizona Fall League. I forget who the other guy is but he plays in the Astros farm system. Pete is a huge Led Zeppelin fan. Great to capture some of the younger audience and bring them on board.

It's an amazing exhibit and I spent more time there than I thought I would. Very extensive and Page is probably represented more and better than anyone.

Very cool and you did a great job with the remastering judging by the sample. Would love to have this in all it's glory. I have the SB but this is a big upgrade.

I can't believe you missed the telecaster! It was to the right of the double neck Gibson SG against the wall on the right. You were just feet away from it. It is a bit hidden and easy to miss as the big display with Jimmy in the dragon suit stands out and grabs your attention immediately.

You lucky dog. I would have loved to experience the sight and sound of that Saturn V rocket launch in person. What a beautiful machine.
The movie is great and will see it again. Either I'll get the dvd or see if available on Netflix or Prime.
I wasn't in Cape Canaveral for the launch but about five miles away on Cocoa Beach. So amazing and glad I got to experience this. Something I'll never forget. I probably got to see this for a couple of minutes before it disappeared high into the atmosphere. The thrust on the Saturn V was amazing and quite intense.

I was doing well in my Fantasy league for the Open but not as well now. There are 15 of us in our league and am currently 6th. I was 1st after the first round but things change like Ireland's son Shane. What a tourney he is having! Who would have thought Rory would have a self implosion from the very first hole. Stranger being in home territory for him! Just crazy. Impossible to bet on this game! Doing well this year with three wins in last eight weeks which puts me on the plus side for the year. Any win or dollars I get for remainder of season thru FedEX (1st or 2nd for our tourneys) will be a plus as I can't wind up in negative territory! That's always good.

Tonight was a pan fried rib eye (s/p, garlic powder and Montreal seasoning) with drawn butter at finish, oven roasted sliced Idahos, butter head lettuce with homemade balsamic vinaigrette. Accompanied with a nice Cab. A good bottle of Louis Martini to be exact. All so good!

I was just a few years old and vaguely remember watching it. But I've always had quite an interest in our space program.
I saw the Apollo 11 documentary in IMAX a few days ago and worth seeing. I think it was just in theaters now for the anniversary as already as a video release. I also saw the Muse To The Moon photo exhibition at the Met in NYC yesterday and well worth seeing. It follows man's infatuation of landing and exploring the moon from beginnings a few 100 years ago through the Apollo program.
I got to see the launch of Apollo 16 in April 1972. Not from the KSC but several miles away on Cocoa Beach. Very cool and remember it well with a good view of the Saturn V rocket throttling up into space. We were close enough to hear it as well which was equally amazing with all the thrust power.
One of the greatest moments for man in history for certain!

It's a great exhibition and well worth seeing. More extensive than I thought it would be. It took me about 90 minutes to get through the entire exhibit yesterday. There is probably more guitars from Jimmy Page than anyone else at the exhibit. It was very well done. It was quite crowded as was the entire Met itself. But it wasn't a problem. Glad to see a lot of young people taking in the exhibit. There are four video exhibits with Page, Eddie Van Halen, Tom Morello and Keith Richards. There is more to this than guitars with other instruments as well as some full ban displays of in concert set up. I was very impressed with it and glad I got to see it before it closes on October 1st.

This weather in the NE USA makes no sense. A week ago temps on May 13-14 in mid 40's and raining to about 50 degrees. A week later we've had temps in lower to mid 7's and mostly sunny days with the exception of a bit of rain tonight. Crazy!

I've seen Robert with this band and they ared good, but in many ways they do bore me. I don't know what it is, but especially on record. Needs a more exciting band like the touring band he had for the "Fate of Nations" concerts back in 1993. Great band and so good live and did so much justice to the Zeppelin and his solo material. Added so much life to the songs.

Definitely intriguing as you said. Will be interesting to see how this doc pans out and what it consists of (info, stories, historical events, concert video etc.) in the next few weeks and months. I hope there will be more parts to it and perhaps the band will agree to it, if they're happy with the doc. They seem very enthusiastic about it. Either way, I'm looking forward to it and should be a good documentary on Zep as about time and they found someone they respect their work on prior projects and is suited for this. We shall see!

Don't think so. Not a cheap doc. From a director who did "American Epic" which is an amazing film if you get the chance to see it. Not some crap doc. The director won awards for that film and was featured on PBS. So well done. It's also on Amazon Prime for free. You can watch the four eps on PBS as well and well worth it! A good reason why the LZ doc will be that good!

I think this documentary will be amazing. I've seen the director's other work with "American Epic" and it's an astonishing piece of filmmaking. I think this one on Led Zeppelin should be just as good, if not better. Will be interesting to see what footage is included as I'm guessing some unreleased material. As it goes through some of 1970, we may get the Bath 1970 footage. As a doc, it will probably just be a few minutes of, which makes sense. As long as it's comprehensive and done well through this period, I'll be happy. The idea of being entered at the Cannes Film Festival could be a big deal. If it's that good than perhaps a nomination for an Oscar next year? I'm getting ahead, but possible! Imagine that and the band showing up for the awards? I would guess Page will have some sort of production credit in this film as it's his band and gave the go ahead to do this among other things and the criteria for the film.
Looking forward to the details of the film and and how it came to be and why the director chose to do a Led Zeppelin documentary and what he wanted the film to be originally. As the film goes through 1970 (at least at some point) is this what Page wanted or what the director wanted? Interesting info for sure. I'm sure Jimmy will answer this eventually with the official release when it happens. I had originally thought when I heard about this doc that it would be comprehensive, but just focuses on the early years when they hit it big, when the doc ends. It leaves this open for more. We shall see and hope we are happy with it.
I'd say yes!!!!.......meaning we will love it or hate it!

Back to the thread...GVF kicking off their spring U.S. Tour this week with many dates already sold out. Looking forward to seeing them for the first time Friday night.
You will love the show. They are great live with so much energy. Seen them twice in 2018 and my third show will be in just a couple of weeks in NYC again at Forest Hills Stadium. A 10K venue from the last show I saw with 2,800 capacity. Quite the move up. But then again it was Terminal 5 in NYC with three sold out shows last November. GVF are quite big in the NYC region for sure. My first was just about a year ago to the day at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ. Great show and insane crowd that was so into the show. Very mixed age wise.
Many complain about Josh's screaming but here is an amazing vocal performance by him and not an easy one do to. Enjoy! Closing in on 3 million views on YT with this song, so not too shabby! From 2017.

Sounds very promising and especially with the band's involvement. Makes sense for a documentary to be at Cannes as not a career spanning documentary and allows more focus and detail with a specified period. Perhaps, this won't be the last one and will continue on from 1970, where it ends in the doc. We shall see as details are announced over the next few weeks. Cannes festival runs from May 14-25, so coming up really soon as next week!

I'm not surprised this has been cancelled as many rumors of financial problems with the event and trouble with the artists getting paid. Plus, tickets never went on sale. It was doomed from the start.

He's great live as I saw him at the Cap in Portchester NY last September. Even better as I talked with him for a few minutes after the show as he was hanging out by his bus afterwards. Very cool guy and down to earth. My brother and I were in the bar (Garcia's after the show. Named after Jerry). My brother left. I was walking back to the train station and I saw him by his bus with a few fans. Nice timing.
