This Vancouver/ Seattle run 1975 is quite epic. Hard to judge which one I like the best. The vibe on this one is relaxed and humorous. It has never hurt that the quality of these recordings is amazing. spacer.png

Yes, these are official release worthy in both sound quality and the strength of the shows themselves. Snowblind could make a great box set if they were ever inclined to go in that direction (release good quality recordings like many other bands/artists do).

^I have Copenhagen dates, two boots:

    Melancholy Danish Pageboys Part 1 & 2

    Falkoner Theatre,Copenhagen,Denmark (Geiko-Sukui) (LP)

Can anyone advise if there is a particular boot that is "the one" to get (Mega link or similar would be much appreciated if there is one) - or are they all around the same sound quality?

I’m particularly a fan of his drumming at the Albert Hall concert that was released in 03.

It doesn't get better than that.

Live, I reckon NQ - especially the '75 ones, for how he comes in when JPJ is laying down his crazy groove. Bonzo took so many different "feels" into that. It is just genius. Also Kashmir and obviously Achilles when they were cooking.

Studio: The Rover has to be up there and I'd say the Wanton Song also showcases the mans brilliance perfectly. I also think of Wearing and Tearing as a stand out from Bonzo. That song gets way too little love.

What country?  They're an appendage of the US State Department at this stage.

I think the appendage comment is fair at this time. This is (obviously) immensely beneficial for Ukraine so it's not like they are unwilling participants in the current geo-political landscape vis-a-vi the west.

Before Putin's actions Ukraine had massive political and social problems. They were badly divided and corrupt. The corruption was typical ex-soviet bloc state - entrenched and hideous. The way Ukraine united in the face of aggression is remarkable, and no one really saw that coming. In a way this seems to have dissolved some of those issues (or put it on the back burner may be a more apt analogy - time will tell)

Arestovych has a vision for his country. I have not heard of his kind of world view. He is definitely an interesting character and it is a really interesting view that is presented. Quite the polarising figure from what little I understand, but very well educated in more than one field.

I'm actually glad he is against pure liberalism - or at least seems to understand it's limitations/flaws.

The No Quarter on this show is sizzlin'....

I thought I'd give this one a go, but saw the lead in is Kashmir and so listened to that first to get a sense of how they were cooking. With the exception of Jimmy going quiet in the middle breakdown (almost sounds like he turned his guitar down and was trying out an idea to me. Which is probably wrong as this is roughly 20 shows in playing Kashmir) - this Kashmir is a MONSTER. Even Percy seems impressed at the end (he sounds delighted.)

JPJ on the bass following Page at the end sounded phenomenal. Especially considering how he is simultaneously murdering the keys.

ok, so NQ is also a monster. There are quite a few moments where Jimmy is equivalent to his best ever playing. No one else plays anything like that I've ever heard (granted, that's far from a lot). That whole breakdown too. How smooth Jimmy comes in as if he doesn't want to change or interrupt JPJ's flow, but go with that somewhere. Bonzo underneath. Jeeeez.

This should be on the news, but oh no, shhhhhh

Doesn't something seemingly so incredible - that is absolutely ignored by the news give you pause to think slave?

^That took me all of 5 seconds to find. I'm not saying my link is factual and the other link is not, I'm just thinking about who it is that "turn their heads away".

Back in FB jail. Those dirty bastards. All I did was cuss out some dick who sent me a link to a virus. Maybe they should worry more about that and scammers than a few cuss words. Fuck you, Dickerberg.

FB is appalling. So many ads linking to scam bullshit. The ONLY reason I am on there is humour - and JP Equinox often posts great pics I have not seen before. I seldom post and don't obsess at all. I still find it impossible to understand how their business model works. Fuck clicking ANY ads on there. Bunch of cunts....

No matter how big the dog is I call them 'pup.' ☺️

Too right, Daisy is our 25kg (55 pounds) puppy. She's not huge, but we feel it when she's on the bed. We often find her sitting out the back enjoying the view. Cracks us up every time...

  9. When I was a younger bloke in the late '80's, there were local "Milk Bar's" in practically every suburb. For those not from Oz, a Milk Bar was a corner take away shop that usually had....

Hamburgers (traditional take away style - big buns that were toasted, and big, thick meat patties)
    Charcoal Chicken
Fat greasy chips only cooked when ordered, and rolled in butcher's paper which made it so easy to manage.
Chiko Rolls - nothing quite like them.
    lollies/crisps/chocolates/newspapers.

I miss them days. A hamburger with the lot (cheese, egg, beetroot, bacon, pineapple) and a chips, with a choc-malt milk shake. You'd be in a food coma after but it was unbeatable value and absolute quality.

Gawd I miss those corner stores. You just cannot get hamburgers and chips like that anymore. And they used to be, well, cheap as chips!

  10. I've said it before, I'll say it again, one of the BEST Trampled Underfoot's of all time. Jimmy really gets a good thing going with that tone and the soundscape he creates, especially the outtro. It is a slight improvement on the previous night. Great to see him take it that bit further with this show. And Jones, laying down that funk!!
