On this day in 1969, a killing in the lobby of a Detroit hotel left the members of Led Zeppelin sickened. When the rockers arrived at their hotel in the afternoon, they saw fresh blood on the carpet where someone had just been killed.

Shopping for cheaper auto insurance. I guess paying about $700 every 6months is a little expensive.

On this day in 1995, the band Heart welcomed John Paul Jones onto the stage of the Moore Theater in Seattle. Live recordings made at that show and the one the previous night made it onto Heart's album The Road Home, which Jones produced.

On this day in 1982, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant performed together in concert for the first time since Led Zeppelin's disbanding. They both happened to be traveling near Munich, West Germany, and when they crossed paths at the same time Foreigner would be performing, it seemed natural for them both to join the group onstage.

1974, Led Zeppelin attended Elvis Presley’s show at the Los Angeles Forum in California. After a shaky start to the show, Elvis stopped the band and jokingly said: “Wait a minute…if we can start together fella’s, because we’ve got Led Zeppelin out there, lets try to look like we know what we’re doing.”

On this day in 1974, Led Zeppelin hosted a party at the five-star Hotel Bel Air in Los Angeles to celebrate the recent formation of their record label, Swan Song. Going with the swan theme, this luxury hotel was famous for the swans that swam in front of the property.
