  1. The review of the October 5th show in Amsterdam mentions “TV cameras where everywhere...”. Perhaps is it this one you’re thinking of?

ir perhaps he was mistaken from the June, Paris TV appearance we have.

Speaking of the Paris June 1969 TV performance. In the Timeline review here it states more is available like the beginning of Dazed.  I wonder why that wasn’t used for “DVD” unless the complete version was discovered later?

Apparently, they didn’t record the song at all that night, which is why there aren’t any tape flips until after Stairway.

Agreed.   It hurts a little but having most of it (and hopefully the final part one day) - we are very lucky.

Pretty sweet find - looks like it's 8MM and the camera runs a little slow. This results in making Robert look like he's freaking out. Killer footage indeed - where's the rest!

Haha.  I notice that too.  Possibly done on purpose during the transfer stage.  But easily fixed.

Finally put on my "audience ears" and listened to the last night at the Forum in '75. Can't believe I've neglected this show for so long. Maybe one of the best shows I've ever heard by any band.

Gotta pick up that "Deep Throat" box now.

You got that right it’s one of the best of the tour.   Many highlights throughout!!   TSRTS, No Quarter, Dazed...

Absolutely loving the acoustic set from the Osaka 28th board.

The whole show is sweet and barely talked about and has always been overshadowed by 929.   But imagine if we had the last reel.  This show could eclipse 929!!!   I loving it too!!

Just yesterday, dadgad upped a new version of Milan '71 with a new source from the show. The show now contains a full Dazed and Confused and a minute and a half of Whole Lotta Love, which ends with tear gas going off. The tape is decently clear if a bit noisy.

You can read about it publicly here: https://www.guitars101.com/forums/f145/led-zeppelin-1971-07-05-milan-italy-two-source-mix-new-source-two-707607.html

That's what... 3 new sources popping up online these past few days? There must be something in the water.

    Thanks!   You’re awesome!  And Dadgad!

I don’t want to start anything I was just genuinely curious about this as a 77 fan, could you tell me the story about this show

Probably a bunch of BS, and bickering that goes way back...never been proven real at all just like the “Baton Rouge 1977”

Yeah, no question about it, this has quickly become a very interesting grail. Sounds like we're not gonna be hearing it any time soon though, unless anyone has 20,000 bucks lying around. Of course I wouldn't be opposed to crowd funding, 😄

I’d throw in $500 but I’m not a member over there

No, they were just the ending of Dazed, the solo splice in Stairway, and some tape before What Is and What Should Never Be. If memory serves, the samples didn't sound that great either.

I sort of remember that, now that you mention it.    Oh well, I’m sure the end exists and we’ll get it one day.  For now it’s super awesome to have this new source!!

EV had put samples of the 928 soundboard on the "Live In Japan" GTO boxset 6 years ago.  It's also been 3 years since Deus Ex Machina came out, and the Japanese twitter accounts mentioned that people in the BF store had overheard that EV had the soundboard for Long Beach 2 in hand, along with a soundboard for Blueberry Hill.

Big question:   Those sample bits, were any from the last reel of this source?   I.E. were any parts of WLL & the encores present on that one from 6 years ago?

I hope so.  I have spent 1000s of dollars on silver disc bootlegs from around the world and done my financial share of support of the industry and bought from every label.  But if I can get a free torrent,  I will take it.  I still have a car and house to pay for,  lol

You don’t have to explain yourself to me brother lots of people have different lives I know exactly how you feel.  From the looks of it, it won’t be long; everyone over at Royal-Orleans.com seems to have it.  So I imaging in less than a week well all have it.

Ahh thanks buddy, love it, this is the song I am most looking forward to hearing from this release, and now I just heard it! Even though that temporary pause from Page was most likely a mistake, I liked hearing just the rhythm section there for that second, and then, SLAM! here comes Page again! Then ending is vicious too.

I agree!  So glad this is complete and included here.   I somewhat agree about that little pause but it seems they did that a lot in 1971.  Maybe an intentional mistake or break there they never got quite right 100%.  If you listen to other from Sept 1971 you hear that during some versions.  But yes after that it’s an untouchable version!

  13. Wow, these audio recordings are suppose to bring joy to everyone.   Funny how everyone seems they are about to implode.   Relax and just enjoy it.

(and no stab at anyone but the use of the term “gimmie, gimmie, gimmie” is so overused and stale and old.  Regurgitating the same comment for infinity, lol).   Believe it or not there are other adjectives in the English language

    👍😜
