  1. Anything is possible. You never know what can happen. It certainly within the realm of possibility to meet Robert one day.
  2. I had the same thought: their success and wealth certainly happened fast if Robert was able to buy all this property by 1970. (And John Bonham was able to buy a Rolls-Royce at the same time)
  3. Good point. Its entirely possibly that he simply attended the show as an observer. And you're right; We probably would have heard at least a shadow of a rumor by now. Its just a bit disappointing that they performed at this prestigious venue and there are very little documents available.
  4. Its odd that there are only two pictures from this show. Obviously, both photos above were taken by someone with access to the band. I would assume that photographer took more photos than the two we see here. I would also assume that fans brought their own cameras, of course. Sam-Is it possible to simply ask Eddie Kramer if he was there to record the show?
  5. You're welcome. Yes it was taken in January 1970.
  6. Thanks Sam. Yes,we certainly would love to read more press about this gig!
  7. You're right. This gig does deserve its own thread. Given its prestige its an anomaly with such little evidence. The only documents from this gig are two photos ( the one above being one) and I believe I've seen a poster. I'll look for the other photo and post it here when I find it. There simply HAS to be something more somewhere...a fan's account, photos, and hopefully a recording of some type. Or at least Eddie Kramer's denial that it wasn't recorded. Is the Chris Welch interview available in print form anywhere? Does he have audio notes from the interview?
  8. My guess would be the first one is from the LA Forum 1970 ( Although, a lot of the shows where Robert wore this same shirt often run together) The latter photos were all taken at Robert's farm, of course
  9. I also remember hearing about Eddie Kramer being there that night.
  10. Couldn't agree more. This show, of all shows, should have been recorded professionally. I heard it was recorded by a fan and he only would trade it for a "Holy Grail" recording from another band.
  11. Oh, you're welcome. I have been collecting Led Zeppelin ( and Led Zeppelin pictures) for 33 years and I guess I've developed an encyclopedic memory for pictures so I'm able to place them in context.. I'm happy you're enjoying them. I'll be posting more Robert photos soon.
  12. I've heard the Carnegie Hall 69 show is being hoarded and probably will never see the light of day.
  13. These are from when Robert was in Hiroshima in 71. I noticed he's wearing the same shirt at the medal presentation ceremony to honor the victims from Hiroshima. I would imagine that these photos are from an interview prior to the concert.
  14. This appears to be another photo of Robert taken from the same setting as the Japan 71 photos above.
