What Are You Listening To At This Moment?

since I´ve been loving you! (8) -
it´s difficult to compare... but led zeppelin winssss! ;DD EVER. The voice of Ozzy is good (I think), but Plant has like a higher vocal register. I mean ... can sing very high notes and stay for a long time (without stopping)... Ozzy? yeah! but not like Robert..

JRR Tolkien in the songs of Led Zeppelin
Page&Harrison<3 replied to Page&Harrison<3's topic in Zep Polls
I agree with you. While the song makes allusion to Tolkien: T'was in the darkest depths of Mordor, I met a girl so fair. But Gollum, and the evil one crept up and slipped away with her, her, her .... yeah. Has another meaning, as you say, it's a "wandering" song. (if I understood correctly). -
JRR Tolkien in the songs of Led Zeppelin
Page&Harrison<3 replied to Page&Harrison<3's topic in Zep Polls
This is the typical, but anyway... in the first book (the fellowship of the ring) Bilbo Baggins says: All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king. well, part of this is in Stairway to heaven, at least the part of the glitter is gold. -
On different pages I have found that Led Zepp was inspired by the Lord of the Rings. I'm reading them, I found some similarities and I would like to know your opinions and comparisons. Sorry for my english. Thanks
