  1. I have been listening to Led Zeppelin's Music for 29 years now and I am 100% positive that Robert Plant sings:

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

"We come from the land of the ice and snow,

From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.

The Hammer of the Gods will drive our ships to new lands,

to fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!

On we sweep with threshing oar, Our only goal will be the Western shore.

    AHHHHHH!!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!

We come from the land of ice and snow,

From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.

How soft your fields so green, can whisper tales of gore,

Of how we calmed the tides of war. We are Your Overlords.

On we sweep with threshing oar, Our only goal will be the Western shore.

So now you'd better stop and rebuild all your ruins,

For peace and trust can win the day despite of all your losing".

I just typed all this from the entire Led Zeppelin "lyrics" that I printed out from the (it now seems) very old Electric Magic, www.LED-ZEPPELIN.COM website (that was when this website had a dash (-) with it. Back then someone who was officiated with the website took the time to decipher and reproduce the entire Led Zeppelin lyric catalog. (I don't think that they reprint official Led Zeppelin lyrics anymore like they used to. Maybe because of or for copyright reasons).

According to the date that is on the bottom right hand side of this massive LZ lyrical printout I made, obviously beginning with LZ1 and ending with Coda, the date I printed all this out was on 05/04/98.

I have had and kept this treasure for over 15 years.

From what I have spoken of, I have every Led Zeppelin lyric(s) at the tip of my fingers. I am not saying that these are all and the complete and accurate words, but I have them and more. Even (according to the old website), the complete lyrics to "Carouselambra".

  2. I have said this before and will say it again. Ronnie James Dio is/was the Greatest Singer of All-Time (after Robert Plant, of course). I do not care what anyone else thinks, whether they agree with me or disagree with me. Dio and the Songs He sang are a part of Rock and Roll and/or Heavy Metal History.

    I really miss you Ronnie.

  3. The final 8 episodes will begin airing on Sunday, August 11, 2013 on AMC.

For those that are fans of this Great show and know all the history of it from the first episode to the last 8 episodes (from last season), I think we will all be in for an amazing ride that will probably have an ending that none of Us will really believe that happened or will have a hard time to accept.

  4. I have a question (not really a mystery) but what was the exact nature and extent of the episode where Mr. Page was caught smoking a cigarette in the lavatory aboard a flight within the United States of America?

From what I remember and recall reading, Jimmy was supposedly drunk at the time and even dared the officials to take him into custody. If my memory serves me correctly, this happened on a flight either coming or going from Atlanta's Hartsfield airport.

  5. This is one of the best scenes from the last episode of "Breaking Bad" beginning at around the 2:45 mark.

Walter White has no clue as to the whole amount of money that He has accumulated for him and His family since he (and Jessie began manufacturing the "Blue" meth). Just look at that enormous pile of money. Even Walter is shocked and amazed at the vast fortune that He has amassed.

I keep saying this over and over again, but I think that "Breaking Bad" will go down in television history as one of the Greatest shows of All-Time.

  6. The concert is out on Blu-ray May 28th in the US

Could be a good workout for the Home Theater System :bubble:

In May 2012, Judas Priest wrapped up their epic "Epitaph" world tour with a storming set at London's Hammersmith Apollo. The band, having announced that this would be their final large-scale world tour, celebrated their last and possibly final show with an incredible career-spanning set list that brought down the house. In addition to performing all their classics "Breaking The Law," "Living After Midnight" and "You ve Got Another Thing Comin'" the Priest dug deep into their catalog, performing at least one song from each of their albums, which rounded off their 23-song set list.

Now, one year later, this legendary set will be released on DVD, BluRay and digital long form video by Legacy Recordings (US). The Epitaph captures Priest's electrifying over the top metal onslaught and is proof they are still at the top of their game after 40 years of headbanging. 140 minutes

The Band talks about the Hammersmith Concert:

It is very close tie for me who My favorite Heavy Metal band is. Judas Priest or Iron Maiden. I know that Priest were a great working band before Iron Maiden had yet to be formed. Hell, Judas Priest even supported Led Zeppelin back in 1977 in San Francisco when Led Zeppelin were playing, what would become, their final United States performances. So, Led Zeppelin and Judas Priest have some "history" together.

As for this new dvd coming out by Judas Priest, They left off two of the greatest Priest tracks of all-time (in my opinion):

    "Screaming for Vengeance":

    and:

  7. Saw them live tonight in Birmingham ( UK)

Very Cool. I have seen Rush a few times and know that They really deliver live in concert. What is your opinion of the show?

  8. John spent those two and half months between the last European gig and the first North American tour rehearsal privately with his family. To this day I know of no confirmed public appearances during that time.

Am I wrong or did this very brief interview take place after the "Over Europe" tour and before John Bonham's untimely death? If so, I would consider this a public appearance.

  9. There are many ways that this show could end:

    Jessie kills Walter.

    Walter kills Jessie.

Hank busts Walter at the end and Walter goes to prison.

Walter finally succumbs to the cancer and dies from it.

... and many more plot twists and turns.

  10. The last eight episodes are due to arrive in the next couple of months. It is a great secret what will happen to Walter White and his Family and to his partner, Jessie Pinkman.

Followers of this Great show will understand what I am referring to. Whatever happens to Walter White or Jessie Pinkman, "Breaking Bad" is one of the Best shows Ever. We will find out the "fate" of Walter and Jesse in the next few months.

Regardless of what the Final Outcome of the end of "Breaking Bad" is, this show will go down in television "History" as one of the Greatest shows of all-time.

It ranks with the "Sopranos" and "Game of Thrones" as to the Top Five Shows ever made for Television.

Long Live WALTER WHITE, AKA, HEISENBERG!!!!

  11. Listening to "Holy Diver" right now.

Just knowing that Ronnie left this world just 3 years ago literally brings tears to my eyes. I LOVE YOU RONNIE JAMES DIO. So do the millions of Your fans from all over the planet Earth.

Edited to add: If anyone who reads this and Loves Ronnie James Dio and his Great Music, please take a minute and say something here. Thanks!!!

  12. Hi Steve,

Sorry to ask such a negative question, but I was reading how Jimmy was arrested in 1984 for cocaine possession I knew about this for a long time, but the article mentioned it was his second time arrested. When was the first time and what was it for? Also, was his mugshot(s) ever released? On a side note, thank God he didn't do any jail time. Jimmy is obviously a good man with a few minor flaws (like all of us). He's done a lot for charity and since he wasn't hurting anyone but himself, he didn't need prison. Glad the judge felt the same way.

I do not know the actual facts concerning Jimmy Page's first or (even his second arrest) for His possession of Cocaine. What I have read is that Jimmy Page went to a bank in England (London) to cash some checks and the teller did not believe that this was actually the Jimmy Page, and she/he called a Constable and apparently Mr. Page had some "Charlie" on him and arrested him (?). From what I have read (again) is that Jimmy told the officer that the "Charlie" was in his coat pocket and (the Cocaine was not his because Jimmy said He loaned the jacked to a friend of His) and that Jimmy did not know it was there.

Regardless, I am glad that Jimmy Page got away with just a "slap on the wrist" and the continued on with the formation of the Firm.

  13. I wont dislike you or anything for your opinion, but may I ask what it is about them you don't like?

I agree. Maybe Rush is not to your personal taste in music, however, have you ever bothered to listen to some "classic" Rush songs? I would gladly name a few that you might want to check out and listen to. I am not referring to you, theLastSpartan, but to zeppy668.

These are some on my favorite Rush songs that you will not hear on the radio: (but can easily find and hear on YouTube):

    "Here Again" (Rush)

"In the End" (Fly By Night)

    "Lakeside Park" (Caress of Steel)

    "Something for Nothing" (2112)

"A Farewell to Kings" (A Farewell to Kings)

    "La Villa Strangiato" (Hemispheres)

    "Jacob's Ladder" (Permanent Waves)

    "Vital Signs" (Moving Pictures)

If you (or anyone) even bothers to seek out and listen to these 8 songs (and I only chose 8 because out of the 100+ songs that I could have listed would have been way to much for a non-Rush fan to acknowledge), by the second Greatest Rock and Roll Band of All-Time, RUSH, would take a long time to post. These are my recommendations and opinions of Rush songs to listen to.

By the way, a lot of early Rush songs are reminiscent of a lot of early Led Zeppelin songs. That is because Alex Lifeson was and still is a fan of the Music of Jimmy Page and Led Zeppelin. That in itself is a strong testament to the Power and Influence of Led Zeppelin on other Great and Powerful Musicians.

  14. Thanks to those who have brought this topic "back to life". I just wish it was in anyone's Power to bring Ronnie James Dio back to life. However, anytime anyone plays any Dio song, that will keep and promote the Great Life of One of the Best Singers of All-Time. The Awesome and Long-Living, Mr. Ronnie James Dio.

  15. This does not have anything to do with Neil Peart and John Bonham (as related to the topic), but in the Rush Dvd documentary, "Beyond the Lighted Stage", Neil Peart does say the He was the biggest Keith Moon fan when he was younger.

I Love both Drummers a lot, (Bonzo more) and I wish there was some commentary from either drummer in terms of them saying that They Loved and Respected each other back in the day.

Of course I cannot speak for Neil Peart, but I am sure that John Henry Bonham was and is a major influence on him. Just like Jimmy Page was and is and still a major influence on the great Alex Lifeson.

  16. I do not have any quotes or actual information of John Bonham actually being aware of Neil Peart from back in the day (the 1970's), however, I would assume that Bonzo was probably aware of him.

Rush released their first album in 1973 and most of the songs of Rush were almost variations of different Led Zeppelin songs. Listen to the great Rush song from the first lp titled, "Here Again", a great song and the guitar solo by Alex Lifeson is straight out of the Jimmy Page playbook.

    http://youtu.be/b8kI21wR8g8

Neil Peart replaced John Rutsey for their second album, Fly By Night.

I would assume that all the members of Led Zeppelin were fully aware of Rush at some point in mid to late 1970's. If not then here is a (somewhat) answer.

    http://youtu.be/upL9LJonoLg

I Love Led Zeppelin and I would have to say that Rush is right behind them.

  17. The Final Touch and Last Stand of Live Led Zeppelin ever to touch and Grace a Stage... I Miss John Bonham!!!

    http://youtu.be/fPidk8svtmk

Post-Script: When I used to post anything related to Led Zeppelin from a YouTube link, it used to show a picture of the video I was posting. Now when I do it it, it only shows the link. I much prefer to have a picture of what I intend to post rather than just a plain link. I have noticed that this has occurred to some and not others since the new changes to this website occurred. Can someone explain to me how to post the way I know and was used to?

By the way, this link is to the very last live Led Zeppelin concert from Berlin, West Germany on July 7, 1980. The very longest version of "Stairway to Heaven" ever. Also of historic note: "Whole Lotta Love" is the very Swan Song and the last song that Led Zeppelin ever performed as a Group.
