  1. :birthday:

Happy Birthday Charles...wherever your spirit lies.

    In memoriam.

Yes indeed. Thanks for posting this Strider. We all lost a great friend with his passing. I'm happy people are remembering him in spirit :) Happy Birthday Charles !

  2. the physio will give me a wrist support. i'll be ok in a few days or so, thanks kate :)

Don't let that manager of your's intimidate you into going back to work until your ready to go back. Better to be off for a stretch, once, than to go back early and be forced to go off again.

  3. Ally and joe,

Thank you. Sometimes we don't realize the impact we have on people as we just go about our jobs...

The way you and your collegues do your job is a big part of what makes what you do so special and vital to patients and their loved ones. Those of us who have gone through the cancer experience with loved ones, know full well just how hard your job can be at times so let me just say a big Thank You to you and your peers for all the wondeful care my loved ones experienced !

  4. back is slightly better, thanks. had a terrible nights sleep last night, but the new one just got delivered, so here's hoping. even if it doesn't help my back, it is soooooo much better than my old bed. here is a link to a pic of one the same

i've bought new egyption cotton sheets ( white ) and new pillows and underlay. now am looking for a new doona and cover ....

Glad to hear that your back is feeling better Slave . I'm sure the new bed will make a big didfference :)

  5. I'm sitting here watching a snow storm begin. It's supposed to be the biggest one in five years with a 30cm snowfall in the city. Tomorrow will be a good reading day here.

Don't envy you Torontonions today ! In Vancouver,we're looking at mixed sun / cloud and a rather balmy 8c :P:D

  6. My full time job in an Oncology (cancer) clinic.

Some days it's rewarding, but other days its just plain draining. We've had lots of young ones lately. And, for the record, I don't mean kids. I mean people in their 40's....blech!

I don't envy you Planted but with having lost so many to cancer in recent years, I sure appreciate the job that you and your collegues do :)

  7. Good for you man ! Never needed a good reason for a blow out. We used the last of my grow from last year. Priscilla was very good to us. As an extra bonus the people who we went to told me i didn't need to go outside for a toot. Just as well as it was freezing and they also enjoyed a few of the mellow stuff. Had some good food and wine and the company was great. Did Jack on Sunday but chilled and read the papers. Oh I did catch up on the Rugby - sorry Ally not Scotlands best day ?? ;)

Ha ! Glad you have such accomodating friends :D

Rugby shmugby... both of my son's play but tbh, I'm not a big fan of the game and I'm not suprised Scotland lost either. They're rubbish

  8. Thanks Missy. It really hit her this weekend. After a week telling her staff that they will (more than likely) lose their jobs, she realised that when she had time for herself that she will also be in the same position. Very sad.

But she will be positive and go with the flow

I'm sure you're helping her to keep her chin up CP. Letting people go is an awful task but as you say, even worse when you know you'll be next. I really hope this all works out in some positive fashion for both of you.

  9. I love St Bernardus. And Rochefort

ally, that looks good. I'll check my local store and see if they have it.

It's a new product from Howe Sound and seasonal but it is outstanding. Hope you're able to :)
