  1. Hmm if you don't think rap is "music", I'd really suggest listening to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy by Kanye West in it's entirety. It's an amazing piece of genius music.
  2. Beginning To See the Light - The Velvet Underground
  3. I agree my man, some music just seems built to be listened to while drunk or high.. Of course, I can't really list any rap artists that I think are like this (except, of course the ones I listen to) because most of that time I hear the buzz-music while at a party.
  4. Honey, Just Allow Me One More Chance - Bob Dylan
  5. So.. I know this might not be the best place to start a "Rap Thread", but, oh well. Lately I've been trying to get into rap, but I haven't been having much success.. But here are a few of the songs I have found that I like, for one reason or another: Thin Line - Macklemore Thought Process - Goodie Mob http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLk7TymqAcs F**kin' Problems -A$AP Rocky Solo Dolo - Kid Cudi Post your favorite rap tunes or artists.. Let's see if we can't get some good quality artists.
  6. Ghosts In Empty Houses - Jukebox the Ghost
  7. These Things Take Time - The Smiths
  8. Thanks for the suggestion, but, I've tried The X-Files, and it's much too slow and episodic in it's early episodes.
  9. Thought I might ask this here.. What tv series should I watch from beginning-to-end next? I want something of quality with some manner of on-going storyline that will make me feel like I didn't waste my time when it's all over (so nothing like Cheers or Law and Order). I just finished SIx Feet Under, and I'm considering one of the following: The Sopranos, The Wire, or Entourage, but I'm open to any suggestions as long as the series is already over, and is of quality.
  10. You Took My Breath Away - The Traveling Wilburys
  11. Who's Feeling Young Now? - Punch Brothers
  12. Blue Angels Air Show - Bright Eyes
  13. Not sure - never seen the Pink Floyd film, and tried watching TSRTS about three years ago, lost interest, and just left it on for background noise while I ate chili. But, I have been listening to the TSRTS album quite a bit lately, especially Misty Mountain Hop and Since I've Been Loving You.
  14. Yes, each of their symbols was taken from an old magic book.. The song has a very strong pagan message.. and features main veiled references to Satan.. also, there's the whole "someone wrote it for me" story..
  15. I've never bought a CD and probably never will. I check out CD's from my local libraries, rip them to my computer, and turn them in. I purchase quite a bit of vinyl though.
  16. 1972 - I have it on good authority that Robert Plant stopped at "Rico's Taco House" while on tour and ate a bean burrito. Sources: my cousin worked there
  17. Well, how can you prove or disprove it if it can't be featured as a mystery?
  18. Can I ask why the most interesting (magic and backmasking) mysteries are going to be ignored?
  19. I'm watching through Six Feet Under on DVD. I'm still on the first season (I've been pretty busy) but I'm enjoying it at the pace I'm going at. Recently I decided to only watch one series at a time, so the only thing that's bothering me is that I cannot watch any other series that I want to (The Wire and The Sopranos, in particular) until I've watched all 63 episodes of Six Feet Under.
