  1. Not sure if this one was posted yet, won't hurt to see it again though :P

    60mm4kh7.jpg

That's been posted here before, but I don't mind looking at it again.

I had that as wallpaper on my desktop for awhile.

    It's an amazing picture.

  2. They are fantastic, thank you for sharing. I must try to get an audio or video of a Firm show; I regret that I never saw them in concert.

Maybe Jimmy could reunite The Firm since the Led Zep plans seem hopeless.

I think it would be nice if Jimmy would just get out there and play!

However, I think something is in the making.

Jimmy hinted at something in September.

We will just have to wait and see.

  3. Perfect Pork Chops

Thick cut rib chops, bone in, about 1 1/2 inches thick

    Salt and Pepper

    A couple Tbsp. Oil

I think olive oil has too low of a smoke point to use in this application. Canola is a better choice for this because of the high heat.

Take meat out of chill chest.

Take the chill off the meat. Let it stand at room temp for 15-30 minutes.

Salt and pepper the chops to your taste.

Warm the pan thoroughly to medium high.

I like to use cast iron.

    Let it get screaming hot.

Add the oil to pan, distribute evenly. It'll probably ripple immediately if your pan is nice and hot.

Add the chops, seasoned side down. Do not move the chops!

    Season the other side.

Sear side one for about 2 minutes. When it is nice and carmalized, flip and sear side 2.

You will know when it's time to flip when the meat isn't stuck to the bottom of the pan and the chops are nicely browned.

Turn heat down to medium and cook about 6-8 minutes until heated through.

Remove chops from pan. Let them rest about 5 minutes under a bit of loose foil.

    Serve

    Enjoy

  4. Pumpkin pie

    Materials

-Drano (easily bought at a local supermarket or anywhere that sells drain uncloggers)

-Aluminum foil (or anything aluminum, but aluminum foil is sufficient)

-A plastic bottle with a cap

    -A 500 pound Pumpkin

Step 1: Take the aluminum foil and stuff it into your container of choice. Put a significant amount in, maybe filling it about 1/3 or 1/4 full. Additionally, you can tear the aluminum foil up into smaller pieces instead of crumpling it. This creates more surface area, which makes the reaction go faster.

Step 2: Submerge the aluminum foil with Drano drain unclogger as best you can

Step 3: Put the cap/cork on the bottle

Step 4: Place in carved out pumpkin, with it's lid on.

    Step 5: sit and wait.

Is that pie for Mr. Jones?

  5. cooking ramen noodles for 15 minutes, you'd end up with a bowl full of mush.

  6. I was wondering if any of you are AC/DC fans as well? Zepp and AC/DC are my favorite bands at this very moment and I could listen to their songs for days.

Which are your fav. AC/DC songs? Did you see any of their concerts? What do you think about AC/DC's guitarist, Angus Young? Do you think Bon Scott was better than Brian Johnson?

    Discuss anything related to AC/DC!

I love AC/DC. I have just recently filled out my AC/DC collection. I have a ton of them on vinyl.

Some of my favorite songs are Jailbreak, Soul Stripper, Let Me Put My Love Into You, The entire Dirty Deeds Album, For Those About to Rock and Highway to Hell ;), Danger, etc. Too many more to mention.

Touch Too Much might be my favorite AC/DC song.

    Never seen them live. :boohoo:

    I do have a couple DVD's though.

    Angus is wild man!

Yes, Bon Scott was better the Brian Johnson, IMO.

    RIP Bon

  7. After 3 listens i'm not sure. There is nothing on it that has really stood out for me. Maybe i need to get into a Crowes groove, so i'll put it on my ipod and give it a good blast in work next week....... I'm listening now .... defo better than "By your side" or "Lions" or even "3 Snakes"..... I'm thinking it falls somewhere between "Southern Harmony" & "Amorica".... Ultimately it's a Crowes album so it is an essential purchase.

I love the song Wounded Bird

I've listened to samples of the rest of the album. Not sure if I'm going to purchase it.

  8. Purchases of the last couple of weeks.

    Black Crowes - Warpaint.

Porcupine Tree - In Absentia (DVD-A)

Van Morrison - Too Late To Stop Now.

    VA - Glastonbury Fayre (1971)

Pink Floyd - PATGOD (3 CD w Book)

    Pink Floyd - Meddle (again)

Man - Back into the Future.

    Bob Dylan - Hard Rain.

    I'm considering getting Warpaint.

    How do you like it?

  9. MH1003_PAGE__PLANT_1-1.jpgMH1003_PLANT__PAGE_1.jpg heres a couple more pics from the same shots don't remember where i got them

I don't know where you got those particular screenies, but they are from the Unleded DVD, for the person interested.

Jimmy was cool in that interview, but RP did most of the talking.

  10. I guess you've never heard Page at his worst? .......and the rest of your statements are regarding Led Zeppelin Vs VH, not Page vs Eddie.....VH did'nt have Bonham, Jones, or Plant. Page is nothing more than 1/4 of greatness.

There's always some asshole to come along thinking they know more then everyone else.

    Rolling Stone Magazine

The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time

JP sitting cooly in the top 10 at #9

EVH sitting way down at #70 :P

    JP rules, EVH drools.

    JP among the greatest.

EVH among some mentionable guitarist, but not even close to the top rankings.

I've seen Eddie play. He's good. He's never taken my breath away though.

  11. They aren't even in the same league.

Jimmy is far more talented then Eddie on so many levels.

Take a look at the longevity of their music.

Take a look at record sales.

Take a look at concert records.

How many VH songs are timeless?

How many LZ songs are timeless?

I'm sorry. I like Eddie, and appreciate his ability, but on Jimmy's worst day, he outplays Eddie.
