You are absolutely correct about the Rosanne Barr connection. Growing up watching and evening at the improv, or the number of comedy specials we could get back in the early and mid 80’s, she was as funny as it gets. Not to mention being beautiful. RIP Judy.

Are we talking about the Led Zeppelin/Classic Rock reaction videos. I apologize if not. I will say there are a few that I have found and I have been pleasantly surprised on the reaction and thought that they have put into it. What I do like about them, I think it is helping to get other cultures, as well as a generation of kids young adults who otherwise would not have been into this type of music and or Zeppelin. There are a few that I really enjoy watching their reactions to Zeppelin specifically. There is a vocal coach who has done a few, she is absolutely gorgeous, and her thoughts on Robert and his abilities are pretty cool to watch and listen too. My daughter who is a singer has recently got into the reaction videos and has had some cool things to say about Robert and his styles and gifts as a singer. I have to remind her that these guys are the most talented musicians to have ever graced a stage or studio. She is catching on.

Hello Paul, as a life long A’s fan, as well as a baseball fan, I think your Mets are going to get hot down the stretch. They have dealt with some injuries that other teams may have not been able to rebound or play as well through. I will say this team reminds me of some of the mid to late 80’s Mets teams as well as just really good consistent teams of that era. Great pitching, Bullpen is pretty tough. A very balanced lineup, with a good amount of Pop/power. But a lot of athletes throughout your team. Starters as well as bench/roll players. Then again, what the hell do I know, however, I can see this team getting hot in the playoffs, and with the arms that you guys can run out in a 7 game series, man they will be tough. The Braves are deep, and talented, as are the Dodgers, I personally think some teams are built for the season, and some are absolutely built for the playoffs. I think your Mets stack up well with any team in the Senior Circuit. Which, the National league is an absolute beast this year. The amount of really good teams is impressive.
As an A’s fan that does not have any skin in the game, but you have a few of my favorite players from our last 4 year run, I would certainly like to see the Mets do some damage this year. Also, I know this is a few days late as they indeed did get swept, but this team is exciting. Good luck the rest of the way. If you do meet up with the Dodgers, I hope you guys crush em.

Taking notes and having 1977 tapes to listen help flesh out the memory. I did not take notes in 1975 so those shows are more of a blur than the other tours.
The "D'yer Mak'er" tease did not strike me as much as the "Dancing Days" we got on the final night. I think it is because by then I had already sussed that the band did not like "D'yer Mak'er". It is the only song on "Houses of the Holy" that the band did not play in concert. I did not really care for the song, either, so I don't remember thinking "Wow, they are gonna play it!" Also, Robert was famous for tossing out bits of lyrics in between songs that the band would refuse to join in on. The exceptions being "Rip It Up" at the end of "In My Time of Dying" on June 25, 1977 and a few other times.
No, the tease that fooled me and kind of pissed me off was the little bit of "The Rover" intro we got after "The Song Remains the Same". I really thought they were going to play "The Rover" and then of course they go into "Sick Again" instead. "Sick Again" was okay but for six nights I kept wishing they would just play entire "The Rover" song.
It took me a few days to recover. The last Forum show was on a Monday night. I was refreshed and recovered (and the ringing in my ears gone) by Friday.
Hello Mr. Strider. I’ve been trying to find the other tour threads. Perhaps my search skills are not what they should be. I would like to again just let you know how incredible the description of these shows are. Not blowing smoke 💨 up your A$$, you honestly might want to think about putting these recollections/memories/journaled thoughts into a book. I’ve read as many books as I could about Led Zeppelin, solo efforts etc. To be very honest your writing skills, the nuances, the details are just absolutely amazing.
Im going to try and search for your other concert threads again, I believe you may have said you were going to expand on another run of concerts. If that has happened already I will certainly want to find that, if it has not, myself and a host of other people are really looking forward to it.
Thanks again for the brilliant thread. It’s undoubtedly a highlight of this forum. A must read for all the new Zeppelin fans, as well as the old heads who have been entrenched in Zeppelin and all that goes with it. Have a great night.

To try and tell you how sorry I am for your loss, that is such a personal experience, and nothing that anyone can say can come close to expressing that pain and absolute grief that comes with that sort of loss. What I would say is, Godbless you and your family, I hope that you know how much you are appreciated way beyond this group of people and it’s fans. Life is fleeting, we are here for such a short amount of time, from an outsiders perspective it seems as if you have had some very lasting impressions on the people in and out of your life.
I truly am sorry to even try and comment on that subject. All I would like to say is that it is obvious that you are loved and respected, as well as admired. I hope in this time of your need that there are people/family that you can lean on.

Having purchased Plays Pure Blues, various other 69 through 72 shows when I got to this one, it was a show that made me realize the growth of the band, as well as my own mortality as well as theirs, and the decline of their prowess. I know that sounds slightly to perhaps very overboard and maybe overblown. By the way, I personally find this show to be good. Maybe even very good.
Having listened to this show again tonight on the CD I purchased back in the early/mid 90’s it made me think of Robert in particular, and how he went from the intensity of this band and performance, to maybe a year and a half later. The change in direction and intensity from this to Robbie Blunt and co. it is a big contrast. I’m sorry to derail the thread, but I can’t help but think of the colossal change in that man’s life in and around this time. It makes me sad for him, certainly Jimmy, JPJ, and the family [ Led Zeppelin ] that was broken apart as a result of the passing of the greatest drummer ever, and a man that was so dearly beloved. Man, it genuinely makes me sad.
Thanks for posting this. It was cool to pull out the show and give it a listen.

Hello Ana, I had posted earlier to express my amazement and joy in the learning of you being made aware of your place in Zeppelin history. I’ve read through the replies and posts, and again as a life long Zeppelin fan I am beyond blown away that you have found this group of people who like myself are very dedicated to the band, and all that comes with that. It’s an intense fandom. Again, I would just simply like to say thank you for somehow finding this space, giving us your recollections of the night and your experience. It’s amazing to say the least.
To have found this group and site 50 years later and to hopefully have realized your place in the history of that particular movie and time in history is just remarkable.
Thank you again Ana. Truly amazed at how this happened and how you have been revered for all of this years by countless fans. Be well and many blessings to you and yours.

Thanks for your opinion. I guess I’m totally out of the loop. There was never a President in the modern history of our country who has done more damage then Trump. I absolutely disagree with what your opinion is. He has caused the most damage of any President in the history of our country. You don’t have to agree, I will absolutely never agree with that assessment. Most divisive President and maybe human I have ever witnessed.

Beyond that, you are absolutely someone that I personally appreciate and have had lots of fun and admiration reading your thoughts and responses on this site. Trump wasn’t cleared of the Russia Hoax, many people were arrested for crimes pertaining to that exact investigation.
We can easily look up all the arrests and people involved in less then desirable actions. Rudy G is also going to be arrested and convicted. People need to stop saying that it was a Hoax because orange boy says it is so. This man has had an outstanding record of Pardons. But an absolutely amazing amount of people charged with crimes. Or we don’t have to read any of this because it isn’t what we want to believe or hear.
Also, just so we are clear, several of his policies I know were good for the country. I’m not in the camp of saying that he did nothing that was good for our country. But he was the absolute worst President in my lifetime by every thing that we can measure against. And maybe he had some people that did not help, but he absolutely did not help himself. If Hunter Biden is complicit in any crime, throw the book at him. If Sleepy Joe is? Ring him up. However, no take backs if Dumpy is, well, he needs to stand up for it.

Steve, again, I’ve told you that I appreciate your intellect, your knowledge on many subjects, if you want to get disrespectful, or challenge each other I’m also very up for that. Just a question, why did over 60 court cases, the Supreme Court which is heavily conservative, the AG who was hand picked, all of the heads of all of the conservative security apparatus in our country say that it was the safest election we had ever had in our history. I’m not asking this to be a Jack ass or to insist on an argument. But if the Conservative administration, with all of his hand picked judges, all of his court appointments, and beyond that, the actual Supreme Court of the United States said that it was absolutely safe and that every bullshit case brought before them never once was proven to be unsecured. The other question I have, is in every case that was brought before any court, they never once said that there was fraud. So meaning that TFG and his lawyers never at anytime in any case said that there was fraud of any sort. I understand the article put forth I’m not so sure about the actual validity of it. I guess I would ask, has this been verified by a non partisan group. If it hasn’t, and it isn’t part of anything other than a blog or something off of Breitbart/Brightshit or something else I have a hard time with it.
I understand you work for a college, that is amazing and thank you for your work. Having said that, my Mother-in Law is PHD organic Chemist at Stanford who teaches there as well. And this type of thinking is certainly something I am familiar with as she lives with me and we discuss her school and the kids that attend her classes and school. But why did Rudy, or any of the other number of lawyers ever bring up anything that was of substance. As a matter of fact, when they were asked under oath, they each and every time had to say that they had no facts to back up any of the crazy shit that they were saying, just as they do not know now with respect to the classified material that TFG was in possession of.
I am truly not trying to be argumentative, I just would like an honest answer from someone that may know more that myself, and may know more than any lawyer has ever admitted to in court on behalf of TFPOS!
