Not only the Nathaniel Hackett hire, but I'm sure someone in Denver's upper management is having 4th and 5th thoughts about that contract to Russell Wilson. Father Time has been a busy boy this season & looking ahead, I can't wait to see Brady & Tampa flame out in the first round of the playoffs--provided they get there....

I warned my sister in Denver that Wilson was too past his prime to invest all hope in. She still insists Peyton was able to do it late in his career, and that the team is still supportive of him. Maybe it's that elevation and all that John Denver they listen to...

I have a Mariah Carey No-Fly Zone around me at ALL TIMES!

She wanted to be crowned the "Queen of Christmas", but evidently one already existed. Not even Lucy, but some Asian woman I've never heard of.

Love it, Jimmie ray! But, man, if drinking makes you more amenable to Christmas songs, I'm glad I've been sober my entire life! 😄
The best Xmas I've ever had was the first time my parents went away and left me in the house by myself - I ignored Xmas altogether that year and I've been replicating it ever since. Hard to recapture the magic of the first time, though, eh...! 😏

There were years that I would have preferred that - like being an older teen that wasn't allowed even one sip with the adults. There's definitely a correlation...

Merry Christmas to the entire Led Zeppelin community throughout the world!!!  The wife and I will have a 2.5 lb standing rib roast.  Ill save the Turkey I have in the freezer for another day.  Hope its a good Christmas for you all.

Good ol' Cornelius! We did well, my sister had 9 lb roast - for only 4 of us. I made a big batch of potato pancakes the next day...

I know you are just playing your usual curmudgeonly role, because I find it hard to believe you are such a misanthrope that you can't find any Christmas song to like.

Maybe Steve's not a drinker. I don't set many rules at home, but the wife knows - absolutely no Christmas music until I've had a few...

Going to the shops today to try to figure out what to get the cheese and kisses. The woman is impossible to buy for! I do have various gifts - all of which she picked out. I want to get her at least a token little surprise.

I get mine anything flannel and pretty -  nightgowns or bed sheets, and I'm golden.

Only received one card this year so far. Not sending many out as a stamp is now 60 cents.

My wife sent out over 100, she still works from our wedding list that was over 30 years ago. We seem to have gotten a lot back that have kids' pictures who we never heard of or will ever meet.

Yoko Ono was a complete embarrassment at this concert.

Anyone here super-organized and already got their Christmas cards and packages mailed, and Christmas gifts wrapped and under the tree?

Or are you flailing around at the last-minute like me?

No tree this year, got a big crazy puppy with a whappy tail. But everything else done, everyone is getting country store preserves. Just need to secure a frenched pork rib roast for Christmas dinner.

Aww man, that's no fun. 🎄

Especially after investing in pine cone shaped LED lights for it. And she was the one who thought it would be nice to decorate, when I first planted it - but I said what's the point running an extension cord for 2 foot "tree"? Now it's close to 30 feet, you could see from blocks away...

Nah.  We beat Green Bay, Chicago, and a one-dimensional Giants team.  We've taken a step in the right direction but have a long way to go.  The best news is our #1 pick from the Rams has dropped to #6.  Throw in our own and two 2nd round picks, and we can fill some holes.  I'm also intrigued by a future passing game featuring Amon St. Brown and Jamison Williams.  That's a pretty good pairing of a possession and deep threat passing attack.  What happens to Goff remains to be seen.  He's still better than half the QBs in the league, and not one of those rookie QBs from last year would have helped us.

I like Jamaal Williams.  He's a good running back and he protects the football.  He is however a very strange dude.  Was pretty funny watching Erin Andrews interview him and backing away, not really sure what she was dealing with.  Somebody should check his locker for voodoo dolls.

Not buying this discussion of grass vs turf as far as injuries.  Are we talking about grass fields in September, or muddy fields in December where half the sod is loose because it was replaced 5 days ago?

The turf vs grass thing is a huge discussion on the Giants board that I'm on. The ACLs have been piling up, they've changed the turf frequently, and just the other day announced it will be changed to a different turf style once again this off season. They used to have a grass tray system in the previous stadium that was deep rooted, had good drainage, and could be changed via a forklift as needed - but it failed for some unknown reason. Seems that's the best route, at least in other areas.

Sorry guy, but you lost me with your conjecture on a Supreme Court conspiracy towards timing the end of abortion to favor the Democrats in the last election.  'Whichever way the wind blows'.

I believe that I actually started that one, sorry to have stirred things up.

Less work.  I have my cats.  They like whack light bulbs but have calmed with age.  I have my share of Bills and Sabres Christmas ornaments to go with the traditional Xmas ones. I wonder if the Lions 3 game winning streak is something for us to worry about?  There is no doubt who the better team is.  And Josh Allen should light up the Lions secondary better than any Xmas tree.  Laying 9.5 on the road is never something one wants to do.  But given the choice,  I think the Bills blow them out. The real bargains for you gamblers are in order, the UNDER ON the NE/Minn game.  Under 42.5 is the current number, this is a game that has under written all over is. Good defenses, and NE offense is bad. Minnesota should shut them down. Dallas and Giants I am going over because almost every year the late game on Turkey day is a high scoring affair.  This should be no different. But I do not like Jones. I say next year the Giants will have a new QB for Doboll to work on.  Go Bills!!!!!!!  Kick ass

My other big concern is, WHY THE HELL HAS T WHITE THE CB, NOT PLAYED YET?  Taken off IR 3 weeks ago and still has not played.  And he is the guy we need. If he had covered Jefferson in that crazy game, they never would have converted that 4th and a mile.

Jones has looked better under Daboll, but the offensive scheme is very limited between personnel and injuries. They've been running up to 8 linemen out there on plays, it's so bad. They won't be in very good position to draft another QB, I think he can be functional with a better line and group of receivers. Any new QB, how do you develop him under these conditions?
