Parents and 'terrified' counsellors face prosecution over opposing gender transition of kids | Daily Mail Online

The western governments have all gone insane, but Australia is definitely setting the standard.

Wrong. The US set the standards long before other western societies did by sticking their noses into other countries business, invited or not and domestic violence that has been perpetrated over there for centuries. Clean up your own backyard before you criticise mine.

Unfortunately, Australian politicians have blindly followed their lead.

If this is law, the Victorian state government has a lot to answer for. Things are different (for the better so far) since NSW had a change of government and I hope for Victorians the same happens when they have their next election.

That's because they are homogenous societies, and Australia has the added luxury of not sharing borders with anyone. That said, both have their own bullshit and lots of it.

Yes, we live in isolation with no common borders with any other country. We also have strict quarantine laws to protect our environment with zero tolerance to anyone who breaks them or misleads Customs. See Amber Heard who failed to declare or quarantine her dogs on a visit in 2015 and is facing potential perjury charges that comes with a possible 14-year prison sentence as well as heavy fines as a consequence. The biggest bullshitters to come out of America is Donals Trump and the aforementioned AH and they are both in trouble, with the FBI no less.

The only bullshit we have here is comparable to other countries with that being the politicians and the media. Also, the BS on this forum and spurious internet sources by people who may have visited (I doubt it) but haven't lived here or in NZ for an extended period and wouldn't have a clue what life is like here and wouldn't know shit from clay. I'm interested to know what bullshit you're referring to.

I don't profess to know what it's like to live in the US, UK or anywhere else for that matter so I don't make any assumptions. The only knowledge available is past history and what is reported in mainstream media, and I believe only half of what I see and not much of anything I hear or read.

Your immune system has been enhanced from the vaccine? Ok....

Not necessarily from the vaccine completely but in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise and common sense, something a lot of people on this forum clearly lack. J Osborne a case in point, What a gibberer..

  4. Hearing the news that another nutter who abuses the second amendment by killing people in Chicago who were attending an Independence Day parade.

Interesting that the 4th of July celebrates America's independence from Great Britain and was the catalyst for the writing of the Constitution and the subsequent amendments.

The irony is tragic but pales into insignificance compared to the loss of life and the broken lives of the survivors.

Strange that there is a strong right to life movement in relation to banning abortions but not when it comes to guns being in the hands of "law abiding citizens" who shouldn't have had access to them in the first place.

On another matter close to my home are the latest floods due to La Nina and heavy rains therein.

This will be the second disaster this year alone.

Over 50 thousand and rising residents are being forced to evacuate and most likely have lost almost everything bar the personal possessions they managed to salvage.

  5. Hearing that the police in Texas were reluctant to enter the school grounds and buildings because they weren't keen on facing the gunman with the weapons he had. Secondly, the answer to restricting if not stopping future insanity in schools was to arm the teachers. Only in America,

The point is, you people are shitting yourselves and completely losing it over something Russia is doing that is in no way unique or unusual or particularly brutal, nor a threat to any legitimate western interest.  The question then is:  why?  Virtue-signalling, ignorance, or you're just easy for the media to manipulate?

    You people?

I've lost nothing and I'm not afraid of Russia even though Putin is a loose cannon.

I am concerned over China's involvement in the Pacific.

OK, no surprise, but you really are full of shit.  You're literally incapable of understanding the logic of an argument you yourself put forth.  Beyond pathetic.

    Pfft!

What argument? I thought this was a discussion not a debate After. all this is a forum. What's with the insults? What part of JohnOsbourne is an imbecile don't you understand?

Btw, stay off the booze because surely you couldn't be that thick sober!?

Bombing hospitals, huh?  My god, what kind of fiend would do such a thing:

US bombings and other attacks on hospitals (hindupost.in)

It doesn't matter who commits atrocities they are evil acts. I remember a certain Lt. Calley involved in war crimes at My Lai in Vietnam and he paid for his crimes. Even now we have a trial going on here involving a highly decorated soldier accused of war crimes in Afghanistan. Evil resides everywhere.

OK.  Then you would grant that Russia's own "red line" re. Ukraine is not so unreasonable.  Correct?

Incorrect. Russia is totally wrong in invading Ukraine and incidents of war crimes like the bombing of maternity hospital are very unreasonable. The Soviet Union broke up decades ago but Putin is hell bent on restoring it at any cost.

China is supporting Russia and that is a concern.

  10. ANZAC Day once again.

The disaster at Gallipoli, Turkey, 25th April 1915 and the recapture of Villiers-Bretonneux, France 25th April 1918.

    LEST WE FORGET.

No, it isn't, I disagree.  It is not America's obligation to defend Australia, or police the world for that matter.  The point here is the reaction of AUKUS to this is no different than Russia's vis-a-vis Ukraine and NATO.  Except for the fact that the Solomon Islands do not border the US or Britain.

Any long-term threat of China to the US should be handled by first getting our own house in order on a number of fronts (economically, socially, etc.), not stupid and pointless military engagements around the globe.  (Remember Afghanistan?)

If China does build bases in the Solomon Islands (by stealth?), it will become a big problem for both Australia and the USA. While the Solomon Islands don't border the US mainland, they are not that far from American Samoa and Hawaii and would be potential targets along with Australia and other smaller Pacific nations.

Allies protect each others interests and provide assistance in many things, like fighting fires, humanitarian aid after natural disasters, supplying munitions and equipment to Ukraine and when needed, military involvement. We don't need the USA to defend us per se, just to stand together as we have for the last century or so. Same as the UK.

Europe (NATO), is no more important than Oceania or anywhere else in the world where there are Australian and American interests, for that matter .

We have a federal election next month so it'll be interesting moving forward depending on which party wins government.

As per usual the politicians dropped the ball and Covid proved to be a distraction for the Chinese to conduct negotiations with the Solomon Islands, for economic purposes(?).

I'm in total shock at the news that Shane Warne has died of a heart attack aged 52. The greatest leggie of our generation and an all round good bloke.

Yes, Chill a big shock. He was a larrikin. I don't know if you remember Rod Marsh, wicket keeper, passed away yesterday as well.

Interesting how the Australian and Austrian governments seem to be in a competition to see who's more loathsome.

I'd like to thank China and the USA for putting the world in this position for creating and spreading the virus in the first place.

What is disturbing about the church incident apart from the police is that someone dobbed them in.

This just in and sure to upset a few people.

You're the one misreading, the meme doesn't claim that at all, it claims that Young sold half his catalog to Hipgnosis, which is factually correct.  The 1B refers to a deal between Hipgnosis and Blackstone, also factually correct.  The point of all of this is that there are enough connections between enough parties here who have a proven track record of dishonesty, that it's reasonable to draw certain conclusions.  You have to be worse than naive and gullible to characterize Blackstone as an "investment company", they are the epitome of parasitical finance capital that exists because of its privileged connections to the State.  They are not even remotely a legitimate, free market institution.  You probably believe that billionaires meet at Davos to discuss skiing or where their kids are going to school.

    Settle, petal, (thanks Julie).

Whether Blackstone is reputable or not, they are still an investment company. If you have a bank account does that make you complicit in the dodgy goings on within the banking sector? No. It'd be more concerning if someone bought shares in that company rather than sell something to them. Davos?

Btw, I am neither naive nor gullible. You may not agree with me and that's fine but don't insult my intelligence by making unfounded statements about  what my political views or my beliefs are.
