  1. Everything was solved at the end of the first season, but it lasted for twenty episodes. It does drag a bit, but for the most part, I loved it. I've actually started watching it again as it's on LoveFilm Instant which I subscribe to. There was a second season in 2009 which ran for ten episodes. I enjoyed it, but not quite as much as the 1st. Still edge of your seat viewing though. I read the other day that a 3rd and final series will air in Denmark in September. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IZUWkghFeQ
  2. Will do. I haven't seen the remake since it was first on Sky TV about ten years ago, so I think I've forgotten a lot of plot points by now. I've seen 'Spoorloos', absolutely fantastic! I saw the end of the remake when it was on TV once. I know what you mean about the atmosphere in certain European movies. Have you seen the Danish TV series, The Killing aka Forbrydelsen?
  3. It was Jahfin who mentioned the Batman TV series, but I will say that I loved that show when I was a kid. It was repeated on British TV on Saturday mornings in the 1970s when I was just the right age for it.
  4. It stars Al Pacino and Robin Williams. It's a remake of a Norwegian film. I've not seen the original.
  5. I haven't seen Nolan's Batman movies as I'm not a fan of comic book movies in general, but I liked 'Memento' and 'Insomnia'. I missed (or don't remember) the hype surrounding 'Inception', so I didn't have overly high expectations or anything. I did expect to like it a lot more than I did though.
  6. I found this film boring and had to watch it in two sittings. 2 1/2 hours was way too long.
  7. I still remember the first time I saw Jaws. It was its first airing on British TV in 1981. The next day in school our teacher asked 'So, who watched Jaws last night?'. Everybody out of a class of around 30 children raised their hands except for one girl. The viewing figures were something like 24 million - the highest of 1981 and the highest ever for a film on British TV, which of course was never broken with the rising popularity of video rental in the early eighties. Absolutely! This is still my favourite scene from Jaws.

  9. I think that is such a good song. Zeppelinesque almost!
  10. Here you go. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NbmpThaDzc
  11. I just read that she lied about her age at the audition as she was only 5 at the time! That's amazing. From IMDb;
  12. It's still in my head a few days later. I liked it, but the subject matter does make for uncomfortable viewing. I saw this on LoveFilm Instant. Great cast, especially John Hurt in the small role that he had.
  13. This is the best video of last night's gig I've seen yet.
