Probably a regular old "budgie" then...tiki is a cute name! Well most parakeets are good talkers so you should have much enjoyment to look forward to. Do me a favor, read up on the best way to care for your pet bird (if you don't already know) and try to take care of him the best you can. I love birds and it saddens me how many pet birds live a life in a cage with bird seed as their diet. Sorry, but this is something very sad to me. One of the subjects i can get "preachy" about, sorry.
yep, he gets fresh greens and vegetables, but still doesnt seem too interested in them yet...

How sweet...what type of parakeet, what's his name and what did he say? I had a Grey cheeked parakeet for 17 years, he died a couple years ago. He was a "shoulder and hand" bird, lol...he died in my dad's hand actually (caught a bad Respiratory Infection 2 winters ago). Still 17 was pretty old for his species and he lived a great life. Jasmine's favorite word was "Baby Bird". He/she (because we never knew the gender) loved rock n roll music, especially The Beatles and Don Henley.
this little guy is just the standard what americans call a parakeet, i know they call them something different over here just can't remember it...caused much confusion in the buying process (i think they call canarys parakeets over here). my daughter named him tiki and while not technically a word he is mimicking the clicking sound we use to call our cat!!! he's only a couple month's old and we've had him for 2 weeks now...

I love when my daughter brings home projects/artwork she made at school. I know how good it makes you feel! How old is your son, if you don't mind me asking?
Watching my daughter sleep right now makes me happy. Listening to her talk in her sleep makes me laugh.
he's five...with an incredible sense of humor...cracks me up!!!!

His name is Scott Matthews. He's from Wolverhampton. Wonderful artist. Has an album out called Passing Stranger. Highly recommend it.

Just added to the schedule Robert Plant 24 Sept 2008 St Louis Got tickets to the lower balcony and as soon as the 25th go on sale I will get some better ones I hope.Will attend both nights.Staying at the Marriot unless someone knows of a better more convient spot.Plan to fly in but thats still in process.
also if anyone knows of any tourist type things to do in the area let Me know plan to be there for a week or so.

This is the 2009 which get's over 100mpg. It's not available until 1 or 2, 2009. You must have an 2008 I was looking at Subaru too. But with gas prices the way they are and if I wait?

I will gladly wait. Better to be smart nowadays. The eCars wont go long distances.
Now they claim, very soon the Prius will have photovoltic cells on the roof and across the sides.

They havent said if this will be in 2010 or not.

100mpg???? that's incredible...as it stands now we get about 52mpg and we fill that 10 gallon tank every 2 weeks....once a month fill-up???? i could live with that!!

Gas mileage is awesome on this thing. Oh sorry, Toyota Prius Hybrid
bought one of these when i found out we were getting stationed in norway ($9/gal gas) and absolutely love it...get the model with the keyless entry/start and you will never have to take the keys out of your pocket...
we also got an after market cargo carrier for the top for the times you want to go camping/ect...never going back to driving a tank again!!!
