• Interests
My interests are mainly guitar and music (I'm a music nerd). I'm very influenced by Paul Kossoff (Free), Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin like most of you know), Jimi Hendrix (The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Band of Gypsyes), Duane Allman (The Allman Brothers Band), Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple, Rainbow) and Amund Maarud (The Grand) (+ Tommy Bolin (Zephyr, Deep Purple, James Gang)).

I also play football on my sparetime.
1. Where is Ian Gillan and Ronnie James Dio?
2. R.I.P Mitch. One of the greatest rock 'n' roll drummers. He could realy drum! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiMu_ZSbKn4 Mitch Mitchell drum solo. Maybe one of the greatest drum solo's I ever heard. R.I.P
3. My favourite Led Zeppelin album must be Led Zeppelin II, and Led Zeppelin I on a close second. I think Led Zeppelin II and I are my favourite's because of the more blues influenced sound.
4. The albums I'm using my sparetime on nowadays are: In Rock - Deep Purple Machine Head - Deep Purple Led Zeppelin II - Led Zeppelin
5. I think my favourite year of rock music must be 1971 (Live At The Fillmore East - The Allman Brothers Band, Led Zeppelin IV - Led Zeppelin, Friendship - Junipher Greene just to name a few and many, many more....), 1970 (Fire and Water - Free, Led Zeppelin III - Led Zeppelin, In Rock - Deep Purple +++++++++) or 1967 (Are You Experienced - The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Disreali Gears - Cream, A Hard Road - Bluesbreakers just to name a few good ones).
6. The Hellacopters is now history, unfortunately. Hope they do a reunion when I get older.
7. I've heard about them, and heard some songs, but never seen them live (not always nice to be young ). I have tried to get one or two of their albums, but with no success. I have heard theiy was a pretty good live band in their time. But the band broke up, and later Alex Kloster Jensen, the guitarist of the band, went on to form My Midnight Creeps together with the guitarist of Madrugada, Robert Burås (check My Midnight Creeps out, it's a real good band). Now Alex Kloster Jensen is playing together with Madrugada, instead of Robert (Cato Thomassen is also with him), but after christmas Madruga
8. I thought I could make a thread about the artists/bands you think are underrated. Zephyr Zephyr was a rock/blues band from Denver in the 60/70's. The vocalist, Candy Givens, had an extremly good voice. You can hear she got inspiration from Janis Joplin. The guitarist would later work with band's like Deep Purple and James Gang, Tommy Bolin (I'll think that Tommy Bolin was an underrated guitarist). Unfortunately both Tommy Bolin and Candy Givens would later die of abusing drugs. I would promise you, if you like Led Zeppelin, you like this. Zephyr - Hard Chargin' Woman Zephyr - ...
9. Thank you :P. On Topic: Yes, The Hellacopters are an extremly good band, and the musicans are not to bad either. It's a shame that I never have seen them live (not always nice to be young). If I'm not going to count The Hellacopters in, I know of another three extremly good bands that I have to recomend. My Morning Jacket "An American Rock band best known of their heavy-reverb sound, their electic mix of country rock, indie rock, funk, psychedelic, and southern rock styles, and enthusiastic and energetic live shows." My Morning Jacket - The Wat That He Sings My Morning Jack
10. Madrugada at Folken (Stavanger) 11. november. Anyone on this forum heard about Madrugada?
11. Since we got a thread about your favourite guitarist's and singer's, I thought we could make one about your favourite drummers. John Bonham (Led Zeppelin) Mitch Mitchell (The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Dirty Mac) Simon Kirke (Free, Bad Company) Ian Paice (Deep Purple) Patrick Hallahan (My Morning Jacket) Henrik Maarud (The Grand) Don Brewer (Grand Funk Railroad) Ginger Baker (Cream) Kenneth Kapstad (Motorpsycho) Bill Ward (Black Sabbath)
12. It was on the 18th. sep. The concert was on a school (Gimle skole), and the school's are closed on Sundays.
