  1. that guy didn't know what he was talking about. Richie is an ego-maniac. Just ask him.
  2. I think that's like saying we wouldn't know Keith Richards if it weren't for Mick. Axl and Slash complemented each other well. I don't believe either would have made it as far without the other. As far as Velvet Revolver is concerned, Weyman is a dark character. I can only take him in doses. Too depressing at times.
  3. I rather liked Use Your Illusion I & II. They seem to have matured their sound quite a bit. And as a live band, they really stunk in the early days. Slash is a phenom guitarist. A real original. Real unique style sonically and visually.
  4. Anyone who has any semblance of taste and rhythm would almost have to love Outrider. I can't hardly pick a highlight. The entire album is wonderfully crafted. He draws from diverse pools of influence (of course). I personally feel Jimmy was instrumental (no pun intended) in keeping good music afloat in the early '80s. Rolling Stone are a bunch of stiff snobs. I personally don't care for them or anything they stand for.
  5. Zeppelin fan for the past 30 years now. Grew up learning Jimmy's licks on guitar. Love it all but at times it seems his greatest genius is on acoustic.

  6. anybody hear of the chick band Zepparella. Being myself a Zep fan for 30 years now, I am unequivocally impressed. Check them out:
  7. where did you all hear leaked tracks from the new GNR? I just bought and burned Contraband but you say that Axl's new material is muchbetter? I'd like to check it out!
