I would not be surprised to see Buddy and Julie "sweep" this year just like Raising Sand did last year. Written in Chalk is excellent, although Justin Townes Earle has created a lot of "buzz" and is bringing younger fans to Americana. thanks for the post Jahfin. I had not seen this official announcement. This award show is also open to the public, Ticketmaster usually has a fairly good selection of seats available. A sweep would be great as few are as deserving as Buddy but there's also some other very worthy contenders in there (Gourds, Jason Isbell, Sarah Borges, etc.). As for the awards, X Country on XM used to carry them live but I'm not sure how that will be handled now that that channel was done away following the merger with Sirius.
