The Pagemeister Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 He was a dazzling singer, exceptional songwriter and unparalleled live performer. But what people often forget is Jeff Buckley was also a transcendent guitar player who could easily channel Jimmy Page or Al Di Meola, play note-for-note covers of songs by Robert Johnson or The Smiths, and blow through head-spinning solos and changes in his own songs. While he might be best remembered for his haunting fingerpicked version of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” these five tunes are the ones where Buckley really cuts loose. Quote
reswati Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 (edited) Somehow this song almost never gets a mention, possibly since there ain't no studio version of it. Edited June 4, 2010 by reswati Quote
Tripmender Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Dream Brother rocks too, in a not entirely un-Zeppelin way. A major talent, much missed. I remember hearing Grace (the song) for the first time and thinking it sounded like the best song LZ never wrote. Quote
