McSeven Posted October 25, 2011 Share Posted October 25, 2011 Besides a Sunburst Gibson. What do you all think is the best guitar to play Zep on? I am thinking of getting a guitar. I like the look of a Flying V/I have tried an SG Gibson. I tried a Sunburst. Although I think it looks cool, its too heavy and I like the light feel of a SG. I have had friends say that a Flying V is a great one to get. In my heart and soul. Zeppelin Riffs are the best in the Rock and Roll. I want a versatile guitar. Anyways. MINI_Zoso Posted October 25, 2011 Share Posted October 25, 2011 I would second the Telecaster. Jimmy has a lot of history with his. But he also has history with Stratocasters too. The flying V? The first thing I noticed when I tried one sitting down is that I needed to stand up. Not a great sitting guitar. The SG would do well. I have a Tele, a Strat and a Les Paul.
