EaglesOfOneNest
I'm listening to some Jimi Hendrix right now and the lyrics for "If 6 was 9" are familiar: If the sun refused to shine, I don't mind, I don't mind. If the mountains fell in the sea, let it be, it ain't me. Given that Axis: Bold as Love was released in 1967 and LZII came out in 1969, anyone think Jimi influenced Robert on those lyrics? That particular line goes back much farther than that as it was used in several old blues tunes. It's a cliché'.
Klape
As BobDobbs said, it's a commond line, you can hear it in Stand by me by Ben E King too. "If the sky that we look uponShould tumble and fallOr the mountain should crumble to the sea" Edited March 5, 2021 by Klape
