ebk Posted September 28, 2008 Share Posted September 28, 2008 Good riddance? Actually we went to Shea last month and it wasn't nearly as awful as I remember it being 20 years ago. Stargroves Tangie Posted September 28, 2008 Share Posted September 28, 2008 Well it really turned out to be the last ever game at Shea as the Mets just didn't have it & lost to the Marlins. I didn't get tix but watched it & the Shea Goodbye ceremony on TV- I loved seeing all the great players from the past come out & step on home plate one last time: Seaver, Gary Carter, Strawberry, HoJo, Piazza, Cleon Jones, Harrelson, and even Yogi Berra & Willie Mays!
