mag9990
The whole reason I registered to these forums was to use the search engine; and I still haven't found an answer for my question. IV was the first album I'd heard by Zeppelin, but I could never figure out what the hell Robert Plant was saying in the last part of Four Sticks; I know Oh baby, It's cryin' time. Oh baby, I've got to fly Got to try to find a way, Got to try to get away, 'Cause you know I've gotta get away from you, babe Oh baby, the river's red Ah baby, in my head There's a funny feeling goin' on I don't think I can hold out long And when the owls cry in the night Oh baby when the pines begin to cry Baby, baby, baby how do you feel? If the river runs dry, baby, how would you feel? Craze, baby, the rainbow's end Mm baby, it's just a den for those who hide Hide their loves to the depths of life And ruin dreams that we all knew so, babe And when the owls cry in the night Oh baby when the pines begin to cry Ohh, baby, baby how do you feel? If the river runs dry, baby, how do you feel? And after that last chorus Plant says some more stuff, I'm pretty sure he's not just babbling, but I can't tell what he says. I'd make a guess at it, but I'd hate to be wrong, cause I'm so self conscience I think I'll sound stupid. I guess I'll find out later though, its time to crash so I can get up early and get my free Denny's breakfast like the thousands of other cheap bastards. Stargroves Tangie
Wow conveniently in a text file on my computer: -Ooh yeah, the brave I endure -Ooh yeah, strong shields and lore -An' they can't hold the wrath of those who walk -An' the boots of those who march -Baby through the roads of time so long ago -ooh yeah -ooh -oooh yeah -aah aah aah etc Thanks for this, I've also wondered what he was saying. Many times I have thought a lyric was one thing & it turned out to be something totally different. It would be great if someone could start a Zeppelin lyric thread, I'm sure I'm not the only person here who has trouble sometimes figuring out what Robert's singing.
