BlackDog71
These are some great pictures. I miss the old Chicago Stadium. Thanks for posting these. Wish I could have been there!
DavidZoso
I am leaning towards these two being Sick Again and not Stairway to Heaven The Battle of Evermore Most likely Kashmir Moby Dick Stairway to Heaven Stairway to Heaven Stairway to Heaven

Nutrocker
IIRC "In My Time Of Dying" wasn't played that night because there was a hockey game on the 8th (the Blackhawks were in the playoffs); Zeppelin had to finish by 11pm, thus resulting in a slightly truncated show. I wouldn't be surprised if they took a raincheck on Bonham's drum solo as well. I bet Page kept the Noise Solo short too. Hard to say, unless we get confirmation from someone who was actually there...the available audience recording is missing quite a bit. Nice pix, though...that 'blouse' thing Plant was wearing looks gawdawful, though
Chicago
I attended this show and the other 3 Led Zeppelin shows performed at the Chicago Stadium during Zeppelin's 1977 U.S. tour. The April 7th show was the tightest of their Chicago stay. Especially compared to the looser and much longer opening night show. The Black Hawks playoff game did require them to be done at a punctual time, so no In My Time Of Dying or Trampled Under Foot that night. But the drum solo was performed that night. Nutrocker
^^^ Thanx for the confirmation, Chicago. IMO the April 6 show still sorta had a 'live rehearsal' feel to it. The 7th is pretty good, but I'd still give the edge to the April 10 show; I actually think it's one of the best '77 shows. Jimmy bounced back from his 'gastroentritis' (cough) quite nicely... Chicago
You're correct Nutrocker that the Easter Sunday show was the magic night in Chicago. Page was locked in from start to finish. His choice of wardrobe attire that evening is notorious up until this present day.
DavidZoso
Sick Again or Stairway to Heaven- I am leaning towards Sick Again The Battle of Evermore Violin Bow solo Stairway to Heaven
Chicago
Too bad no one can see the beer cooler they filled up with over 30 Heinekens just to the left of were Bonzo sat. A few minutes before the show started we saw the roadie stocking that thing full with bags of ice and green bottles.
