I noted Ticketmaster's mis-spelling of Led Zeppelin in the title of the event.

The added shows at Ticketmaster are NOT listed under Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience.

But, instead are being listed under Jason Bonham, where all of the 3 shows appear.

For anyone that wants to check back with Ticketmaster, I guess checking both listing names will get any new additions for now, until the official release of dates on Aug. 16th.

I just want good seats where I will get the best sound, wherever in the hall that might end up being.

Thesmaller halls are intiamte, so any seat would be good, but in the larger halls, I would want to be not in the top row of the top balcony.... The Star Plaza Theater in IN. seats 3,400. The Fox PAC seats 1,600. The Bergen PACl in NJ seats around 1,300.

I'm not sure where in Dallas Bonham might play.... The Dallas Symphony Hall (2,062 seats), or the Dallas Opera Hall (2,300 seats) would both fit within the hall size announced so far. I checked those sites calendar's and there's no listing (yet) of the Bonham show.

I believe I will go, to pay tribute to Jason's Father, the Greatest Rock'n'Roll Drummer the World has ever known.

  2. I finally realized that I could save a lot of money by buying the Heavy Duty Zinc Chloride 9 Volt Batteries for use in Low - Drain Devices, like Smoke Detectors and Clock Radios, instaed of buying the more expensive Alkaline Batteries. The price of the Heavy Duty Batteries is about a third less than the Alkaline Batteries.

  3. The PBS American Masters treatment of The Doors is scheduled to air in the US on Wednesday, May 12th, 2010 from 9-10:30pm (Central Time).

    The Doors: When You're Strange

Johnny Depp narrates this phenomenal history of the Doors, the rock group responsible for such classics as "Light My Fire" and "L.A. Woman." It utilizes only footage shot from the band's 1965 formation to singer Jim Morrison's 1971 death.

    duration: 90 min

    details: [HD] [CC] [sTEREO]

The American Masters Website has links for the video interviews with Robby Krieger and John Densmore, and a link to the article "About The Film".

  4. Like Babs, those Hinterland minutes are as old as the hills laugh.gif

Oh Yeah.... it takes me right back to the 6th grade, in the darkened lunchroom, full of students, watching a narrated 35mm "educational" film. :D

  5. "South California Purples"

I just love the "Fat" Bass, and the horns/organ/guitar work on this track... :D

I was lucky to see Chicago in 1972, just before they took off to their pop-commercial era, they were just foraying into it... One of the most satisfying rock shows of the year, for me !! The had perfect sound for that auditorium, something that happens because you make it happen, and not by chance. The highlight of that live show was one of the encore numbers, a jammin' version of "Free".

  6. I was listening to some live ALS performances from 1977, on You Tube tinight. The San Diego 5-19-77 performance was particulalry good by Jimmy.

I'm not going to post the You Tube reference here, as it might get looked at and yanked off you tube.... yes, that stuff does happen ! ! ! You'll just have to search for it yourself...

Here'a a You Tube Video labeled ALS that probably won't get yanked, as it's not playing any Zeppelin music.... but the video does have a nice collage of Zeppelin photos.
