  1. Beforehand, the Who may play "some shows in the festival season this summer," Townshend says. "I would want to do that purely for fun, and I don't want to turn it into a big tour. I need to stay focused on my writing."

Come on down to Bonnaroo Petey!!!

  2. American Beauty is their most popular and easiest to listen to on first glance..

    I prefer Workingman's Dead.

    Anthem of the Sun

    Aoxomoxoa

    Blues For Allah

    Shakedown Street

    and of course, Europe 72.

But their catalogue is vast and great explore. I have every album released before 1988 and still prefer the "Pigpen" years over any. Easy Wind (Live) is just killer with him on vocals and harp.

As for Live Dead, there are more boots available for them then Zeppelin.

  3. I watched Close Encounters of the Third Kind the other night; I'd never seen it before. Awesome movie! I now totally love Richard Dreyfuss, hehe. I really liked the part where he's talking about Pinocchio and trying to explain why it holds so much significance for him, and how it ties in with his longing for that same sort of transcendental type of "magic" in his life. Good theme. I think this is one of my new favorite movies.

Eventhough editor Verna Fields is credited for making Jaws the visual masterpiece that it is, I'd have to say Close Encounters is Spielberg's best movie behind Jaws. Not only is it visually striking and has one of the creepiest scenes ever filmed (the abduction), Spielberg wrote the whole script himself, backwards. And yes, Dreyfuss is the fucken man in that film.

  4. quick...

I need a glass of fresh ice

Your finest bottle of spiced Caribbean rum

    A bottle of Heineken

A glass of freshly squeezed not from concentrate Fla OJ

A fresh pack of cowboy killers

And alittle peace and quiet to allow the battery to recharge...

  5. Comes A Time and Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere are my two favs.

The former is one of my favs to listen to up in the mountains while the latter is a nice gentle reminder of home when driving back from the shore.

  6. I was suppose to go see him at the Tower Theatre in Philly Monday Night but it fell through at the last second. Too bad to, my buddy went and said he closed with Cinnamon Girl/Like A Hurricane and played alot of songs he hasn't played live in two decades. 4 hr set.
