  1. I do like Sam Adams. It redefined American beer...for the better.

The "Brown Ale" and "Black Lager" are good, as well as the "Winter Lager" and "White Ale".

  2. Hi BLD,

Thanks for your kind support mate, but have you noticed how Shot my Spelling is?:lol:

I keep forgetting to check what keys my fingers are hitting, my English teacher always said "Could do better" and she was soooo right. :yesnod:

    Regards, Danny

Saaaayyyyy Dan.... Crappy spelling??? Then you need the cool refreshing taste of the automatic spell checker on Firefox!!!! Or..... http://orangoo.com/spellcheck/ ! There free and you don't have to sign up for anything to use it. I don't think anyone here (or any where) would understand what I was typing if I didn't have these two thing's in my internet tool box!

If I type in some field on the web it will underline in red any spelling error's and I only have to right click on it and it will give me some correction choices.

It work's quite well for me, and I am the KING of miss-spelling!! :bagoverhead:

  3. If only it had been 'my act' instead of me being a sideman in the backup band! We were playing for Heatwave and some other 70s acts.

I had a brush with that kind of thing once. I took a union gig playing guitar on one of those PBS style retrospective oldies things, had frankly never heard of any of the acts. Got a stack of lead sheets in the mail(about 100 songs) 2 weeks before the gig. I think I spent more money tracking down recordings of all these tunes I had never heard(because chord charts don't really tell you much and I wanted to play the songs, not strum open chords all night) than I made playing the show. Got 1 45 min rehearsal 2 hours before showtime with the headliner who proceeded to change the key of every song in his set, "Down a fourth" seemed to be his mantra. Unfortunately it was a recurring theme, out of the dozen or so acts there were maybe 2 that didn't throw at least one key change at us on stage. At the end of the day it was challenging and stressful and in hindsight even fun(although I really didn't think so at the time!).

So suffice it to say I have alot of respect for guys that do what you do

This is from when I was on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon hahaha

I'm the blond right behind Bun E Carlos, the drummer (from Cheap Trick) lol

Thanks to all for the kind comments

Here is one from 2003 of my son and I

Here is what he looks like now. I finally got him to let me post more recent ones!

By the way I wished he would grow his hair a little longer...and his favorite band is Pink Floyd!!!

Yeah! I remember Heatwave from when I was a kid PhxHorn!

Festering Gob, I did some show's like that when I was doing stage production 10 years ago, many a festival style show where there would be more act's than we where told about and they went on at different times as we where told and then all the manager's would come out and say, "we want it to sound like this or that"!!!!

I don't think I could lean to play 100 song's (especially if I never even tried them before) in a week or two! It would be next to imposable for me! Even on the drum's (my main instrument)!

Taylore, like Doc said... Great seat's! You not all that bad looking too, maybe some big producer will see you and make you a star! It's happen before.

Nice one of you and you boy Deb's!

  4. Went with my granddaughter and niece to see the new 3D Christmas Carol movie the other day and was very pleased with it!

It was a "Disney" style picture with lot's of action and great graphics! A few scary part's but not too bad really. My granddaughter was trying to catch snow flake's with her tong that seemed to be floating in the room (Got to love that!)! Quite real looking and the scene's where very well translated to one another and it was a tear jerk'er in some area's.

It followed the story and scene work of the movie I remember seeing as a kid in the 1970's with Alistair Sim as Scrooge filmed in 1951. I like the colorized remake of that one.

It was 2 extra buck's for the 3D glasses but it was worth the price as even the preview's where in 3D! :)

If you go take some glasses cleaner with you as the one's we got where not all that clean.

  5. There's added scenes like the ones that are talked about where Nero escapes from the Klingon's and a few others I'm sure. I'm sure there's making of stuff also. There's not even a date for the next movie. If it's out by 2011 they probably need to start filming real soon as in the next few months. Last I heard they haven't really writtin anything for it so my guess is 2012 for the next movie.

I remember seeing an interview with William Shatner about how there was very little money to go around in the original show's. Some day's they couldn't pay the writer's so they would have to wing-it as they where shooting!

If they have not started writing for the next movie and they need to start shooting now.......then they are right on schedule!!! ha ha ha Ha :D

  6. Nice pic  cool hat, oh and I like the gear to, keep on rockin :D

Love the hat, Looks like you in the mood for :guitar_mood:

Thanks my Led Zeppelin friend's! I've been doing some recording over the last few day's and I got a bit silly with the video camera finding this extra-silly looking look on my face!

And No, I have not started drinking again! :D

  7. Here's a picture of me in France. It was taken a few months ago

    ranska020_.jpg

Anyone ever tell you you look a lot like Nancy Wilson (from Heart)? Your hair is darker, or less strawberry blond and more red but, you bare a resemblance to the guitar playing Wilson in the band from the 1970's and 1980's called Heart.

  8. Swede, lovely pictures, I love flowers and musicians.

I haven't been here in ages... I don't know where to post. Should I post a new picture? I don't know how anymore

Go to photobucket.com (start a free account) and upload your pictures to there site, then paste the image code from there (photobucket) to here (in the body of you post).

    easy as 1 2 3!
