  1. Thank you Deborah. You can listen to a couple of tunes from our EP's at our myspace page.

    Cheers!

Cool, 1960's oriented stuff! I like your Myspace page too, most of the Myspace page's are filled with waaaayyyy to much junk that will slow my computer down to a snails pace! You guy's have hopefully started a new thing of not cluttering up the web site with drivel! :D

  2. The moon has NO atmosphere for a catastrophic meteor hit to affect. Our atmosphere burns up the VAST majority of meteors entering it, whereas any heading toward the moon find no resistance to burn them up.

A really big one to hit us could create the "nuclear winter" spoken of.

Yeah, the Earth would survive but we as a species would be in peril. We might make a comeback in billions of years as a recycling of evolution could take place.

    The moon is down

Casting it's shadow over the night-haunted town

Mystical figures under the silence of light

    The trembling air

Drifts slowly unseen over the houses there

And echoes changing into the voices of night

On the edge of twilight whispering

    Whisper, whisper, whisper, whisper,

On the edge of twilight whispering

    Whisper, whisper, whisper, whisper

    Elusive time

In limbo active in never ending mime

The edge of twilight into the darkness of day

    Shulman, Shulman, Shulman and Minnear

All true but, the earth is alive and can very easily snap back from a strike by an NEO. In fact, if you know where and how to find them you can see the crater's left behind from the one's that have hit the earth!

There is a big one in Germany with a crater that's more than 15 kilometers across, one in the mid west of the US that's even bigger. So like you said the moon is dead and can not cover up the evidence of a large impact. The earth has the ability through erosion from wind, rain, snow and so forth and the movement of the plate's on the crust to cover up the past event's.

Most all of the big impact's on earth happened a few billion years ago when our system was first formed, after the gas giant's of Jupiter and Saturn formed the heavy bombardment was over and they started sucking up (and still do) all the big rock's that where flying around then. The one's left now are in the asteroid belt in between Mars and Jupiter, most scientists believe the majority of those are quite small object's that would be lees than a problem to us if they hit us but, there are some planet killer's still out there.

The one's floating in space out side the belt are the potential killer's, every 100,000 years one will hit the earth with some effect. But the bigger one's that hit every few million years or so are the one's that can wipe out 90% of the life on earth in a mater of hours.

We get hit by large stony asteroid's every 100 years or so, they don't do that much damage as they explode 3-5 miles up in the air. So unless they do so over a major city we have little to worry about, the last one of those blew up over Russia in the late 198o's. A large iron core asteroid would be a bad thing and would kill a lot of people and may send us back to the stone age having to live in very small group's as there would be little food to support our currant number's.

Object's that small (100 or so yard's across) are just a mater of where they hit the earth as to how much damage it will cause.

Nice poem, I dig it! B)

  3. Yeah, there where fun time's to be had last night! I went to a monthly songwriter's open mic to play some of my song's last night, there where a lot of people out doing the party thing (this is in Chapel Hill, NC). I don't do the party thing any more but it was great to get out and do some thing other than hang in the less-happening town I live in. B)

  4. Second Halloween in a row that I didn't see or hear from my little boy :(

Not even a picture? Sorry dude, bet he was the best one on the block! I know how you feel, I do get to see my granddaughter but she was with a few of her friend's at her moms place and they didn't want to go out (maybe the rain) but I was ready to take her as my daughter-in-law was working last night and my son had to go back to the Navy base a few days ago so I didn't get to see her but I'm sure there will be picture's soon.

Don't worry to much man, when he grows up some he'll be able to make his own mind up of who and when he want's to see! B)

  5. After reading Steve's post the other day, I have been working on a sigil to put a curse on the ZeppFanForever bashers, LOL. laugh.gif

But seriously, I have been thinking about a sigil for some other things that could be helpful to me.

It definitely will take some time to figure out. Just for fun.

I truly don't believe in magic, but I do believe that what you allow in your thoughts will influence your behavior. So if you think negatively, then negative things will happen to you through your negative behavior. If you think positively, then your actions will be postitive and you will have more positive outcomes. This is due to your own actions, not due to some hocus pocus.

But by concentrating your thoughts, and putting them into your subconcious with the sigil, you are focusing on your desired outcome, and your actions and efforts then will be directed at making your desire happen. Nothing magical about that. Just good ole psychology.

Yes, this can happen! And it does show once and for all that the human mind is indeed a very powerful thing!

  6. Truth Hits Everybody~The Police

Everybody Wants to Rule the World" is a song by the British pop/rock band Tears for Fears. It was the band's ninth single release in the United Kingdom ...

  7. What show was she on when doing the operator? I forget....was it Laugh in?

I believe she started it on one of the variety show's she was on before Laugh-In or in her stand-up gig's.

The link I posted is to her site, it has a lot of info and some cool stuff too. If you feel like looking it up... "I don't have the time!!!" Ha Ha Ha (that was one of Ernestine's line's) B)

    Be cool my friend B)

  8. Okay, going to check this out.

I've been accused of looking like Barbie Benton (the eyes), Lily Tomlin, and now that I'm aging, Shirley MacLaine.

One time, my 9-year old saw a picture of Slash on here and told me the picture on my husband's dresser of me looks just like Slash. I have to agree.

    I'll post later.

You do look like Lilly Tomlin if you ask me. That's what I thought when I saw your avatar picture.

"Have I reached the party to whom I am speaking?" You got to love Ernestine!!!

  9. Great stuff to see! The only down side is that now that it's been plastered all over YouTube they are no longer rare or even collectible's.

Well, maybe if you have the original format copies in mint condition, that would be a rare collector's prize. But there is so much info out there it make's it less (in my honest opinion) a valuable idem.

    What do you guy's think?

  10. Robert Plant crew set up for the gig in Carcassonne. Watch in wonder and awe as the gear has to been craned over the walls :wall:

Hats off to th roadies :notworthy:

Aaaa...That bring's back some old memory's Deb's! Well, I never did a show in a Medieval (or what ever century that place was built) setting, I do remember some difficult load in's and load out's!

I like watching this sort of stuff! What can I say, Modern Marvel's is one of my favorite TV show's! :)
