  13. ⬆ Sorry, yesterday, I gave wrong chords. I was strumming it today and tweaked it. The changes are in green... I googled William Zantzinger and learned that he died this year, on January 9th. Death is sad, either way. (of course.) Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll by Bob Dylan VERSE 1 C♯mWilliam Zantzinger killed Bpoor Hattie Carroll With a C♯mcane that he twirled 'round his Bdiamond ring'd finger. At a EBaltimore C♯mhotel, so-Bciety gathering. And the Ecops were called C♯min, and his Bwea-pon took from him. And they Erode him to C♯mcustody Bdown to the station. And booked EWilliam Zan-C♯mzinger for Bfirst degree murder. CHORUS But Ayou Bwho phil-Eosophize dis-C♯mgrace And Acriti-Bcize all C♯mfears, ATake the Brag a-Eway from your C♯mface. ANow ain't the Btime for your Etears. [etc.] GUITAR TABS (in standard tuning) Just strum, strum, strum (no picking, yet) Play "o" string open Don't strum "x" string A Chord E|-----o--------------------| B|-----2-------------------|ring G|-----2-------------------|middle D|-----2-------------------|index A|-----o-------------------| E|-----x-------------------| E Chord E|-----o-------------------| B|-----o-------------------| G|-----1-------------------|index D|-----2-------------------|ring A|-----2-------------------|middle E|-----o-------------------| B (Barre Chord) E|----2--------------------|index B|----4--------------------|pinky G|----4--------------------|ring D|----4--------------------|middle A|----2--------------------|index E|----x--------------------| C♯m (Barre Chord) E|----4--------------------|index B|----5--------------------|middle G|----6--------------------|pinky D|----6--------------------|ring A|----4--------------------|index E|----x--------------------| Improvise and strum that guitar to create instrumental breaks between verses or wherever. If you're lucky enough to have a harmonica player around or any other fellow musician. You play the basic progression, like this: C♯m, B, C♯m, B, E, C♯m, B E, C♯m, B A, B, E, C♯m, A, B, C♯m A, B, E, C♯m A, B, E, (or any other variation thereof, have fun with improv.! )
  14. ↑ Pagemccartney, you beat me to it!. Haha! ok, i'll sneak it another excellent "C"... Come Sunday (Duke Ellington) (covered by her ⬇ on this album)
  15. ⬆ Definitely. Long ago, in Brooklyn, I also remember screaming for my dad to give us 2 dimes (oops! that dates me haha.) to get some! Also the jingles (xylophones or whatever) were crazy!!! Each kid had a pavlovian reaction, as the sound grew louder & louder, while that wonderful blue & white ice cream truck approached our block! Then, later instead of the familiar Mister Softee jingle, it became The Entertainer by Scott Joplin () ) ever since The Sting came out. LOL. edited to add: I'd order a soft vanilla or chocolate wafer cone with lots & lots of chocolate sprinkles!
  16. I would like to meet: ⓵ Jesus Christ ⓶ Jimmy Page ⓷ Mother Theresa ⓸ Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. ⓹ Robert F. Kennedy (edited for spelling and to add that I'd like to meet Beethoven but he always seems too ornery, it might ruin my ardent love for his compositions ) Hey! ⬇ Dzldoc made me realize, I can choose alternates (haha! - "NO SHOW" ). (Am now deliberating on adding one more alternate besides Beethoven)
  17. Right now, these are my favorites (more to follow, haha.)
