  1. thanks fool!

do you experience what i was talking about ? the night pain only? i mean, i have felt it during the day a bit, but nothing like at night. it's so bad it wakes me up. i'm so tired ...... :(

Both my knees are a constant irratation, but no not only night pain. May be you have what they call 'restless leg syndrome'

  2. hi fool

i am trying to just stick with a stronger anti-inflammatory for the back spur. i'm still in pain, so may have to get the injections soon.

i haven't heard of the rooster booster or the knee wash, maybe mines not that bad?

my left leg wakes me up a few times a night with pain. sometimes it's the hip, sometimes the knee, sometimes all down my leg! but, funny thing is, i never feel it through the day when i am standing all day at work. but as soon as i lay down to rest ...... why is this, i wonder? taking the weight off lets the joint relax!

    Hi 'Slave'

hope this explains the 'Rooster Booster'

The anti- inflammatory should help with your nightime pain as well..

I did start out having the Cortison injections untill they were no longer effective, cannot take any of the anti-inflammatories as I have acid reflux disease...

Also known as: Gel Injections/ Rooster Comb injections/Intra-Articular Injections/Hyaluronan injections/Joint-Fluid Therapy

Hyaluronan is the name of the medication found in gel injections, and it is made from chicken combs (hence the name rooster comb injections). It is injected into the knee joint to help temporarily relieve symptoms of arthritis knee pain.

It is thought that hyaluronan, a gel like substance, works by mimicking synovial fluid found in the joint; therefore, lubricating the joint allowing for pain relief. These injections are supposed to act like WD-40 for your knee joint.

  3. what way does knee washes work?

    Hi 'The_Minxter'

Key hole surgery to flush out any debris such as loose Cartilage, at the same time they sometimes smooth out the inside of the Kneecap as well... Not always a success but has worked for me..

  4. i have some osteo in my back and knees. hurts like crazy.

my friend has rheumatoid, she is in constant pain.

    :(

    Hi 'Slave'

how is it going with those spurs, any idea of what they are going to do for you?

Do you have Treatment for your Knees? The 'Rooster Booster' Injections are quite good, I have them every 6 months, along with Knee Washes every 18-24 months...

  5. Settle down, girls. That wasn't what I got...that was just one of the swap meet's tables with their offerings. I didn't have the budget to get everything on that table. I did get a soundboard from the May 16, 1973 Sam Houston Coliseum show, and "Where the Buffalo Roam", July 15, 1973 Buffalo, NY. Also some Pink Floyd, Faces, Van Halen and Wilco.

Still worth getting up for...

  6. Dear Kate...batten down the hatches!

    Thanks 'Strider'

We already have, just as well we live in a sturdy Victorian house, not a flimsy new build...

And the near by trees have been cut back quite recently...

We live on a hill so no fear of flooding, but there has been quite a lot of damage up and down the Country..

The worst of it seems to be over now... These are just a few pictures from around the Country...

I'm sure there will be a wide range of arthritis among us, I have Osteo...maybe someone will have a few tips too pass on...

  9.

This was the first time I have seen this movie, I missed it at the Cinema and never got around to getting the DVD.

I really enjpyed it till the end when poor 'Old Dumbledore Dies', it has made me a bit tearful now... :(

But will still get the DVD though...

  10. Well that will be sad for you, but cool for them. I'd love to have had the chance to spend more of my life outside of this Septic Isle.

Your son's very handsome - reminds me of a cross between a young Tom Courtenay and Tony Adams.

Why thank-you 'Major' ... Glad to say he looks more like me than BD... :)

Being able to Skype Leo he will never be far away, and when I visit it will be for a week at a time, rather than just a few hours...

  11. Well, I got :

2 Ferry Cruise Tickets To Devonport (Also Known As The Village By The Sea). Will be going on yet another cruise, a couple of days after New Year's Day B)

I didn't get any Led Zeppelin related gifts for Christmas. But I really don't mind because all I wanted for Christmas was an opportunity to spend some quality time with my mom. You see, my mom and I were both University students and student life was a pretty hectic affair (to say the least!) all these months and Christmas time was the one time of the year where she and I could actually get to spend some time together. Well, I am indeed happy to say that I got my wish! We watched Christmas classics like "Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol", "Frosty The Snowman", "Charlie Brown's Christmas", "Rudolf The Red Nosed Reindeer" (the cartoon dating back to 1948), "The Smurfs : A Christmas Carol" and "How The Grinch Stole Christmas". We also watched the musical "Mary Poppins". It was my first time and the last time my mom watched "Mary Poppins" was when she was a little girl! :) All in all, Christmas was a quiet, fun filled day. No drama. No tension. No deadlines to fulfill. No wretched assignments to submit. No exams to prepare for. Honestly, I couldn't be happier! :)

Happy New Year to you & your Mum 'Kiwi' :toast:

sounds like you 2 had a really fun time. I have just Googled 'Devonport', I hope you will be taking lots of Pics with your phone because it looks a Fantastic place to go... Have Fun... :)
