  1. I just sent a msg to someone I know that knows a Face but I'm not sure if they'll tell me anything or not but I asked them anyway.
  2. Yes, I meant in the context of whether it was Rod or Faces. I think my favorite tune on that album is Blind Prayer though I pretty much love it all. . Is the Stereophonics version the one played on The Office tv show theme? The British(and FAR better) version of the show. Blinding!
  3. Ok, let's start off by rearranging the title to make it proper, THEN let's understand that H&G is a Rod Stewart song, not The Faces. I'm the first to admit that I gave up on Rod when he asked me if I thought he was sexy which is the reason I'm very excited to see him FINALLY go back to his roots. I really hope this happens.
  4. A fast buck? I should imagine Woody and Rod have a buck or two already. I personally can't wait to see this if it happens. I am HUGE Faces fan.
  5. I've been waiting for this reunion for a LONG time. I hope it happens. I know Ian McLagan has been really itching to do it. I think Tetsu is washing cars somewhere though. Hey Bill Wyman's not doing anything. Keeping fingers crossed.
  6. Tell me about it! I got tix for Philly too! Did you have trouble getting them when they went on sale online? I went on at 10 a.m. and the fkn link wouldn't work. Luckily I called in time to get a tasty seat in sect. 105.
  7. FWIW, I always thought that they only let them in because the cameras were rolling and they didn't want to look bad. Then again, the better question here is why did they bother answering the door?
  8. Alice Cooper 11/1/08 House Of Blues Atlantic City.
  9. AC/DC my number 2 band just behind Zep. I've never missed a show when they've come to Philly. Just got tix for 11/17. I prefer the Bon Scott stuff and love the way they have put the more obscure tunes in the setlists. Gone Shootin' is probably one of my favorite tunes but it's very hard to pick just one.
  10. I don't have ny to upload from here but I have a slideshow on my MySpace that has pics. Check out the hat. It has a very famous history as explained in my profile..... Leave a friend request as well if you so desire. http://www.myspace.com/frankginocchio
  11. Great shot! I had always wondered if Elton John crossed paths with any of the Zeppers. They never mention each other but they were both HUGE around the same time. I always thought maybe there was some sort of bad blood(no pun intended)
  12. UPDATE: Steve...It IS in the book I referenced. I assume you have it. It's called Jimmy Page: Magus, Musician, Man: An unauthorized biography By George Case. It's at the bottom of pg. 219 top of pg. 220.........It states "Someone who was pretending to be a friend stole the tapes....They were staying at my house comforting my ex-wife." After this is a citation #56 which is found on in the back on pg. 258. The author cites "Tolinski, July 2003". Hope this helps..............
  13. It was Meadowlands. Don't know why I said MSG. Brain fart.......... His performance were exceptional on EVERY show I have of that tour. I rememeber the Spectrum ERUPTED when he went into the Dazed and Confused jam out of The Chase! I have Cleveland and a video of Phoenix. I will find the ticket stubs whenever I get a chance.
  14. I'm not totally disagreeing with you here. I'll have to pull out my ticket stubs. I remember Plant played on I think a Friday, then Van Halen was the very next night or the way other way around. I know Van Halen and Plant played back to back nights. I have a boot of Jimmy in MSG on 10/26/88. I can confirm this with ticket stubs. I'll get back to you.
  15. Not off the top of my head but I know that's what I either heard or read. It may have been in this book: Jimmy Page: Magus, Musician, Man: An Unauthorized Biography. I can try and thumb through it and take a look.
  16. Well I hate to confuse the issue but I heard in interview where Jimmy said it was a guy that he was trusting to care for Charlotte while he was gone. Anyone else heard this one?
  17. And I was there! I think Page was 10/27/88 in Philly and Plant the 21st. Many brain cells ago but I was at both shows. I know they were within a week from each other.
  18. Thanks. The pic doesn't do it much justice. It's actually a darker chestnut brown and all fur.
  19. Thank you , Steve! Yes it is well enshrined. It only comes out on very rare occasions.......or if I'm losing at poker. ha ha! j/k. Did you make it to O2 for Zep? I haven't been on here in some time so I don't know if you made mention of being there. I sometimes feel like I'm in the kiddie pool when I come in here s I limit my visits. Ha ha
  20. I have so much stuff I wouldn't know where to begin. Buttons patches, Tshirts, promos. Until I can get a comprehensive list, here are the highlights of my collection: 1. John Bonham's hat.(CROWN JEWEL!) 2. John Paul Jones' autograph from when I met him in Austin, TX in '91. 3. 3 Inflatable promo blimps 4. The Object 5. The New Zealand boxed release of their 45's "Ten Legendary Singles". 6. ITTOD record store stand up display. I'm working on a list and pics to put on my Myspace but it will take some time. I do have a pic of me wearing Bonzo's hat on the page. I rarely wear it if at all but this was a special occasion. We were playing a childrens Xmas benefit show. If anyone's interested, my page is myspace.com/frankginocchio
