  2. Paint It Black - The Rolling Stones
  3. I'm surprised there aren't many more replies on the 10 year anniversary of the O2 show. It was such an amazing show and experience overall. It was my first and only trip to London (I'm in Canada). It cost me a lot of money to go, especially after the change in dates.... but it was worth every penny. I've watched Celebration Day on blu-ray and listened to it in the car on the way to work. Tonight, I'll watch the rehearsal when I get home. I've been wearing my shirt all day (I usually only wear it on the anniversary each year).
  4. They have a new Ep out called From The Fires. It is essentially the 4 songs from their first Ep (Black Smoke Rising) with an additional 4 songs.
  5. Weather or not the vocalist sounds similar to Robert Plant or that they are trying to emulate Led Zeppelin... there is no denying how good they are live. I can wait to hear more studio stuff and see them live. He's a full concert I found. Great stuff.
  6. Here's something I found on from 2014. They must be 14-17 years old in this. Great stuff. There's no denying the Zeppelin influence. I'm glad they are currently going with their own look and sound. I love their 4 song Ep and look forward to more studio stuff. I'm really digging this group. Such a refreshing sound to a lot of today's rock music. I've seen a few website with voting for the best new artists type of thing and most of the time the other contenders sound all the same.... that crappy corporate rock with vocals that sound like Nickleback/Puddle Of Mud/Theory Of A Deadman/ etc...etc
  7. I use the opening of Rock And Roll for my ringtone and the Stairway To Heaven guitar solo for voicemail alerts. I have used Living Loving Maid in the past.
  8. Here is a session on Sirius' Octane Channel...it's really good. At the 13:22 mark the lead singer, Josh, talks about his musical influences, including Robert Plant obviously. They do a really good cover of Rolling In The Depp by Adele at the 15:28 mark.
  9. I was listening to an interview last week where they said they were putting out another 2 EPs digitally for a total of 3. Then putting out vinyl and other physical mediums a little later. The younger brother of the group was saying they have been writing for the last few years and have a lot of finished and unfinished songs. He figures about an album or two worth of material. I can't wait!!!
  10. Even on some of their live stuff the singer and guitar player do a matching musical interlude just like Robert and Jimmy. I listened to an interview where they said they were influenced by Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters and other blues legends... but no mention of Led Zeppelin.
  11. These guys are phenomenal. I just found out about them a few days ago. The voice, lyrics, guitar and drums are all excellent. They are even great live. Check out some of the YouTube videos.
  12. Robbie offers his apologies to Jimmy Page, http://www.stereogum.com/1949141/robbie-williams-apologizes-for-saying-jimmy-page-was-spying-on-him/wheres-the-beef/
  13. I couldn't agree more. I have all the other SDBS of the studio albums and was hoping the BBC SDBS would follow suit. I was hoping the booklet from the BBC SDBS would also be similar to the ones from the previous SDBS. I am a recent vinyl collector, so the only other Zep album I have is the Celebration Day one which is what the BBC set is similar to. Other than that, I am extremely happy to have this re-release. Finally there is an official version of Sunshine Woman. I ended up playing the 3rd CD of unreleased tracks in my car for 3 days straight. Now I have moved on to the rest of the release.
  14. I calculated my order there as $147.55 with shipping (I wasn't given an option for shipping internationally). Since it is an American company, the price in American dollars unless otherwise stated. My Amex card converts to CAD later at a better rate (I save a few cents). That brings the total to $193.17 CAD.... so not much difference. The shipping option with Import CD is DHL/Fedex which leave your packages on your door step. Sometimes they notify you and sometimes they don't and sometimes they leave it on the door step when you're home but still say there was no answer. The free Amazon.ca shipping option uses Canada Post which holds my parcels for pickup for 7 days.
  15. I ordered it in July for $175.88 CAD ($202.26 tax inc.) with Amazon.ca

  17. Thanks. It was an interesting (and long) read. It seems that Malofiy seemed to be forgetting little details or misplacing things.... unless that was his strategy to frustrate Page's lawyer. His approach to trick Page into omission of knowing Taurus was slimy but expected from the prosecution.
  18. This is great news!!! For someone like me who never got into Zep until 1997 and doesn't own a bunch of bootlegs or original vinyl, this is fantastic. My first Zep vinyl started with the first set of Super Deluxe Boxsets. For me, the reissues gave me the chance to have all of Zep's music on 180g vinyl and in high quality digital format, as well as a few rare gems. My main wishlist for these gems was: Jennings Farm Blues, Sugar Mama, Everybody Makes It Through (the darker/creepy version), Friends (Bombay sessions), and Sunshine Woman (I didn't think the BBC Session would be reissued). With the exception of not getting Sunshine Woman on Coda like I had hoped, these Deluxe Boxset reissues delivered. Especially with other gems like St. Tristan's Sword, La La, Keys To The Highway, 10 Ribs & All, and different versions of Bring It On Home, When The Levee Breaks, and Since I've Been Loving You, etc. Sure some albums could have use songs that were more different that what they were from the originals. Considering tapes were stolen from Jimmy, I'm happy with what we got. Although I was disappointed that Roberts voice wasn't more clearer on In Through The Outdoor and that Stairway to Heaven didn't differ much from the original (although maybe that stupid lawsuit had something to do with that). I'm even more happy that these BBC session are coming out. I really love the songs The Girl I Love, Something Else, and Sunshine Woman. They are some awesome non LP songs and some of those performances are superb. I just hope Sunshine Woman is a decent quality, although it has to be better than the bootleg version I have. My only other option was to buy a 1997 release unopened for $500-800 or $300-400 used copy. I refused to pay that much. Now, if Jimmy would only release How the West Was Won on vinyl and an official Royal Albert Hall 1970 release on vinyl, then I'd be very happy. I'd accept having the material from the DVD transcribed on vinyl, as long as I get C'mon Everybody and that version of Something Else. Along with We're Gonna Groove, those are some kick ass songs from that show.
  19. What a piece of work this lawyer is. He says he used to be a fan, but then calls Led Zeppelin unoriginal and a cover band. This article sheds some light on how sketchy this lawyer is. Also, the Infringed Song Chart taken from the lawsuit amounts mostly to hearsay. Only 7 of 17 songs listed are proven to have seen legal proceedings. I could say "No Action Taken" on any Zep song. I'm glad the judge ruled no previous settlements/legal proceedings were inadmissible.
  20. http://www.cbc.ca/news/arts/led-zeppelin-copyright-trial-1.3531641 According to the article, "Skidmore was able to overcome statute-of-limitations hurdles to sue over Stairway to Heaven because the song was remastered and re-released in 2014." , does this mean they can only go after the royalties for STH from the 2014 remasters? Legal jargon confuses me. If this is the case, I can't imagine the $$$ to be that much.
  21. Here's another article: http://uk.businessinsider.com/why-led-zeppelin-is-going-to-court-over-stairway-to-heaven-against-spirit-2016-4 I find it interesting that Wolf said in an interview in 1991 that he wasn't interested in suing Led Zeppelin, yet his estate is now suing.
