    Still sounds amazing..

It's impossible for me to hear this song without being revisted by wistful memories of Asian beauties I have known...but I digress. RIP.

"Fewer than 30 signed copies of Led Zeppelin albums are thought to exist".

@ sam_webmaster: Any thoughts on that assertion? I can think of perhaps a half a dozen authenticated ones. 30 seems like a really low estimate.

The Ocean has a difficult line too which I'm convinced is "I've got a date I can't be late for the hell I'm heading for". Houses of the Holy did come with lyrics but that difficult line was deliberately transcribed incorrectly to avoid the reference to hell but I can't remember where I got that bit of info from.

  4. 2SLGBTQI+. Seriously? We have clearly jumped the shark on sexual orientation. The LGB faction is already seeking to break off from all the others. It seems they have now concluded they actually don't want to be considered equal to the others within the ever expanding others. Of course LGBs initially insisted they merely wanted to be treated as equals to everyone else. Seems to me we have a lot of alphabet and non-alphabet people who just need to get over themselves.

What I see in this picture...first and foremost I notice if you are a productive member contributing to society you are immediately taxed at the curb via the parking meter. Secondly I notice the street vagrants on the right are allowed to slumber tax free at the same curb. Thirdly, the vandal's destruction  on the left -- the left, how appropriate. Everything I see has driven the retailer(s) out of business. Finally, I notice how grimy the paved surfaces society walks upon are. This is deemed acceptable by the same health authorities who insisted we wear useless masks for more than two years to prevent the spread of disease.

That's really interesting Steve. I'd say cult like behaviour applies. It applies to a LOT, and applies here.

Fair enough, but by that logic Catholicism, for example is a cult as some insist. I'm old fashioned -- for me words and nouns in particular have established meanings. We're losing that in public discourse and so what we have nowadays is everyone speaks rhetorically all the time. Anyone with an opposing point of view is branded a cult figure, a terrorist, or a racist, or whatever. It's an intellectually lazy approach to maintaining a point of view.

Nah mate, I don't take to cults and drink the koolaid. The left has it's own insanity it doesn't seem to recognise or be able to deal with. Not anything like the Trump cult, but insanity none the less.

74 MILLION+ Trump voters in 2020. Love him or hate him, I think we can all agree the cut off # for someone to be accurately considered a cult figure is far less than 74 MILLION+. For example, in the 1970s the Children of God, argubly the most famous "cult", grew to over 130 communities across the globe and yet had little more than 10,000 dedicated members. I understand everything is relative -- Led Zeppelin were once considered a cult band -- but for the sake of argument I propose we set the cut off to be accurately considered a cult figure at 10,000 or less.

Akio san is without a doubt the closest approximation to Jimmy Page that has ever lived. Best explained in Japanese as "Shuhari", he transcended every conceivable stage of learning to achieve mastery.

  9. Elton John is back at home after being hospitalized for a fall. The 76-year-old singer was discharged from the hospital Monday morning after being treated for a fall that happened at his home in the South of France. Elton reassured fans he'll be back on his knees in no time.

None of them have any hope of being elected.  They are all wasting their time and money.  If anything they should all bow out and let trump run unchallenged. Trump will be the nominee no matter what and if any of them decide to run against him the scant votes they get will only help elect the dems candidate.

I'm not convinced this nation will hold together until the next (meaningless) Presidential election. There's a part of me that hopes something sets the wheels in motion that will make January 6th look like child's play. Good grief, they've already welded the border wall's doors OPEN. If that and tying federal aid for Hawaii & Florida to federal aid for Ukraine isn't the tipping point we've been waiting for I don't think there is one. The US will simply continue to become Venezuela.

Let's talk about the elephant in the room.  Am I mistaken, or did not Chris Christie have some type of lap band or bariatric surgery in the last 5 years?  Was this reversed for some reason?  He seems to have gained all the weight back, which from my limited experience from a couple people is a health danger.   I'm not trying to get on his case.  He's certainly not the only American facing a weight problem.  However I think it's relevant if he's trying to run for President.

He had that surgery nearly 10 years ago but is once again morbidly obese. His campaign for President is little more than an anti-Trump revenge tour for not being appointed to a cabinet level position from 2016-2020. He has no hope of getting elected.

    Hey Steve,

LZ Boots recently posted a show on YouTube for the Outrider tour - November 24th (day 1), London, Hammersmith Odeon. The source/tape was provided through Susan Hedrick, an extremely reliable source whom you yourself have known many years. However, there are some other Outrider shows on YouTube that are much older of the same show, and both of those posts claim the show is from November 25th (day 2).

If memory serves, you were at these shows, and I'm sure have copies of both shows/boots. So, my question to you is - which show is this? The 24th or the 25th? One quick way to differentiate is to listen to John Miles' pre-song chatter with the audience before "Prison Blues". Here's a link to the show in question:

Thanks in advance for any light you can shed here.

Hello. Yes, I did know Susan through the years though I haven't heard from her in probably 25 years or more. Wonderful person. It was Steve Jones of Manchester who attended both Manchester shows, not me, Steve A. Jones. Steve photographed several shows on the UK leg of that tour. I don't think he was doing any taping though. I haven't heard from Steve for several years now, but the last I heard he was still alive and well in Manchester.

So, is anyone here "fired up" about tomorrow's night Republican Presidential Circus Convention. Televised by Fox News of course, and I'm guessing the field of candidates will do their own juggling, minus clown makeup....  :D

Uniparty bread and circuses. I'd much rather watch feral government members frog marched to the nearest tree line.
