  1. I'm by no means an expert on this stuff. But what I think it means is; IPB (the forum software) doesn't allow images to be grabbed dynamically rather than directly. OK - - - www.nowhere.com/image.jpg bad - - - www.nowhere.com/index.aspx?image=image What does your link look like? FYI from the net: Dynamic Page (or Content) - This is a webpage that changes its content depending on database information or user settings. A scripting language such as PHP or ASP is usually used to bring about such a result. Search engines are now advanced enough to index such pages.
  2. The picture you want to post has to be hosted somewhere on the net (image bucket etc), then you post the url using the "insert image" button ( the button with the little picture next to the emoticon button) above the reply box. like this: hope that helps
  3. I saw a very vivid rainbow this morning, the lavender was especially bright.
  4. I love that one one makes me laugh.
  5. Did you see this ? I giggle every time I think of it, very well done.
  6. yeah plenty of both, and I have no interest in either, lol
  7. You can't swing a dead cat around here with out hitting a church. Many have 100's of people who go regularly, more than once a week, my brother is one of those.
  8. I don't think a breeding population of "big foots" could exist in this country and not be discovered. Same goes for the Loc Ness monster. I wouldn't be surprised by anything discovered in the deep ocean, as stated before, we have barely looked there.
  9. I wouldn't mind riding around on one, so ya I'm for it.
  10. I don't know man, these helo's are having a hard time getting a lock-on this large T-Rex type monster. The grunts salvo their sams and he just ducks.
  11. Yes, I wonder that all the time. I think it's more of a case of civilizations being advanced at the same time. Who knows how many have come and gone in the last 13 billion years or so. A civilization could arise and evolve for million years and die off for some reason and be easily lost in the thirteen thousand million year history of the universe. On seti> we have only been listening a few decades in some parts of the sky, and only at radio frequency's. It may as simple as they don't use that method of communication.
  12. Todays scientists have theory's of how to overcome the distance problem with out violating c (speed of light) or requiring different physics. Worm holes, warp drive, traveling through higher dimensions, black holes, to name a few. Who knows what an advanced civilization may have come up with. Even one only a thousand years advanced is likely to be way ahead of us. What about one a million or a billion years ahead?
  13. You didn't say w/ discovered asteroids or planets, if memory serves that would be Epsilon Eridani about 10 and a half light years away, which they think may have habitable moons. edited to add: I could be wrong, I'm too lazy at the moment to look this stuff up so no flames please
  14. I think it's wormholes your thinking of.
  15. I'm not sure where you got that, but Proxima Centauri is the closest star to the sun and it's roughly 4 light years away. And it wouldn't take 4 years "ship time" to get there at near light speed, you aren't taking into account the effects of relativity.
  16. "Machine Head" and "Made in Japan" are my favorites
