  1. I have a full bar in the basement, and will turn to various other spirits in emergencies where the Sambuca runs out. I'm starting to get quite proficient at drinking Jack Daniels, but still find German beer much more satisfying. A cop friend of mine was involved in some investigation where they found hundreds of airplane sized bottles of Black Label and Chivas hidden in a building, years ago. Needless to say, that evidence never made it back to the station. I still have about 20 bottles, but save these specialties for guests.

Ahahaha!! I was almost denied entrance at the door for Elton John in Vegas because I refused to relinquish my airplane bottle of JD...in all the fuss they didn't even notice my camera, Ahahahahaa!!

I love those airplane bottles when I go to the city though, the poor guys on the street love them more than anything! Give them a smoke and an airplane bottle and you've mad someone a happy camper.

  2. TWO Dunkin Donuts peanut butter monster cookies and a huge glass of milk :burp:

Bonzo (poodle/shitzu mix) didn't ruin the poker chips that he stole off the table and paraded around the house...and the cards remain safe....

  3. Yeah, Eddie and Jimmy are on good terms. They spent some time together in Autumn '91 when they both happened to be in Vancouver. Eddie also inducted Jimmy into the Hollywood Rock Walk in December 1993. Fast forward about ten years and Ross Halfin

says Eddie called their hotel about 50 times trying to catch up to Jimmy when he was back in town for a few days.

It's nice that it's 'not' a mystery that one of our hero's is not petty and unforgiving :)

  4. Excuse me for 'bursting into this conversation', I have read all 35 pages of it with great interest! I just want add...to the topic of EVH dissing Jimmy...I knew that...but 'somehow' I also knew that EVH eventually said "I was drunk when I said that" I'm sorry I can't post any sources, I looked high and low but couldn't find anything on the internet...but I think most of us would be willing to accept that as EVH's 'excuse' and form of 'apology'....

Great discussion everyone, this is a very interesting and educational thread!! Just want to extend my thanks to all who've participated here even at the risk of being a bit of a 'target'.... :)

  5. The only hard alcohol i have drank and will ever drink will be

    29466.jpg

I do not have one of those stupid stories how i drank a fifth of SoCo like every high school cheerleader has, but i do know i have always token a shot of Johnny Walker Black on my birthday since i was legal and will continue to do so. I haven't had a birthday party since i was five and i don't believe i ever got lucky on my birthday, but Mr. Walker was always there.

Ahahaha!!! Love it!! I just read this! Highschool cheerleader....LOL! Close...but I dropped out in 9th grade to persue my partying interests! :D

  6. a 15 year old Glenmorangie or Glenfiddich for me...single malt matured in Sherry casks I believe.

Failing that a glass of Penderyn single malt from my native Wales

Now yer talking about real Scotch! Yeah, let me say, I'm still being educated by my local wine and spirits owner! It's rather intimidating to start trying to choose a Scotch. I work with a real affecianodo and apparently 'area' is very big...peaty vs. mossy....too refined for me, just give me that bourbon or sour mash!!!

Ahahaha! Whoever posted (sorry can't remember) about hating whiskey due to over indulgence but loving Southern Comfort...exact opposite of me...after an early adulthood experienc of drinking an entire pint (young and inexperienced, LOL!) of Southern Comfort with Coke (a Cola) shot chasers....the smell of Southern Comfort still makes me want to regurgitate....it's one of those things that tastes way better going down than up....

And Yes...personally wholeheartedly agree with the Makers Mark assessment...good shit!

Muah to all of us 'hard cores'...(in actuality...age has rendered me a lightweight but sometime I still feel a need to jump in the game!)

  7. Matt now im thirsty, this is the new Whisky thread.

    My favourites:

    Jack Daniels

    jack_daniels.jpg

    Isn't that a great photo?

    -Black Label

    -Green Label

-Red Label.... well all the Johnnie Walker Whiskys, but i don't realy like the Swing

    -Jameson

    -JIM BEAM of curse

    -Chivas Regal

    -Grand Old Parr

For now that's it... Im looking for me.

Ahhh, great thread!! Funny though, cuz I don't like any Johnny Walkers. I'm no expert but aren't they scotch? I never understood how I could LOOOOVE Jack Daniels (technically a sour mash I believe) and bourbon's but could never really get a taste for scotch. Knob Creek has a nice bourbon too...

  8. Sheesh, Jimmy was so athletic really...All 100 pounds of him were fire unleashed!

    jp85inginocchio26tk.jpg

  9. Yes I took it at the NY premiere of TSRTS (and got his autograph at the same time).

Thanks so much for the compliment!!

Lucky Biotch! You know I'm really just green with envy...we need a green with envy icon!

Thanks for the welcome Tie Die! This board rocks! You ladies are GREAT! Ya know, if Jimmy ever needed a little ego pick me up....THIS would be the place he should come! Can you imagine him reading our posts....Ahahahahaaa!! He would have to think we were insane...either that or....Hum...my magic works so well!!!

Forgive me if this is a repost (I admit, I've nabbed tons of pic from here!) but I love the artistry of this shot:

  10. Uh...a little too much like one...

I don't like him looking that much like Oscar Wilde:

    2z3w6mo.jpg

    :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

Ahahahaha!! I'd love to see Jimmy in that Oscar Wilde pose though...sword and everything? OK, that thought should tempt our taste buds, LOL!

    Spacewoman, awesome job!

Ahhh, thanks FSmith for the Amp info and that was a great find!!

    Click for slideshow

    Nice work here Ladies! :D

  11. the name of this photo.....wtf? i havent seen this one before, do tell!

Yeah! New one on me too! Great shot! Looks like one of his home recording studios.....would love any additional info...

Keep em coming Ladies, you guys rawk!! Love the black and white still from Japan....loverly shot!!!

  12. OMG i love this one, he has the most beautiful eyes.....................:wub::wub:

Has to be my fave....that's the one I made my tagline from :)

Can you embed vids on this site? Haven't figured out how yet but here's that link to Jimmy's skiffle band....love that he was planning to do biological research...Ahahahahaha!! He can start with me!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0tAOIQiz-8

    Love you Ladies!!

  13. look

hey ladies. you have have a mission. there are a billion pictures on this slide show I have never seen and have never been on this forum. find them and post them! lol

You found a real gem there!! There are several cool things about this vid...the first song Jimmy wrote for Jackie DeShannon whom he was leaving in London to make it big in the States...it was later restructured as Tangerine as you can probably tell. BUT, the coolest is that second song..."She just Satisfies" It's the ONLY song Jimmy ever sang, and he played every single instrument on that recording except the drums. That 45 would be quite a collectors item!!

You ladies are all so wonderful! It's great to be able to come here and relate to fellow obsessed women, LOL! We should actually be a 'support' group. "Hi, my name is Medhb and I admit it, am obbsessed with Jimmy Page"

Truly, I can think of no other single person outside of Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley that are such legends. And Jimmy's the LIVING one!! I'd be curious about the age range of all of us....he can excite us whether we're 13 or 130!!! I wonder if he has any clue what he still does to women....even when he's thousands of miles away?! Ahhhhh....I think maybe he does ; ) Jimena is certainly the luckiest woman in the world. She must be quite a special lady. I'm certainly glad that she makes our Jimmy happy and healthy!

    OK....wow! Off my soapbox now!

  14. I think he likes having his picture taken. That's good. Have you seen the ones where he flips off the photographer? I saw those in guitar world here in the U.S. He was on the cover with the Black Crows in 2000.

I NEED those bottom 2 pics but when I right click to save they are blank??? Huh? Could someone repost these please? Pretty please?!

    Many thanks!

Edit: OK, great, I see the quote function didn't take the pics...they are the two pics of Jimmy sitting in a high back wicker chair with a huge scarf draped over it....if anyone can remember, I was on page 35 or somewhere around there when I quoted...

Making my way slowly through these pics....awesome everyone!
