  14. The Gary Moore interview(when he mentioned the incident) may have been on the Irish Late Late Show many years ago. There is probably a story there somewhere that has been embellished along the way. Anyway, here's 'Paddy McGinty's Goat' by Val Doonican, 1967, for those who were curious as to what the comment meant. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=3x76tT_oCeI
  15. And I had no idea there was another band called Skid Row until I read yesterday that Gary Moore had sold the name. Thanks again for researching the information for me Steve. I still like the story though!

  17. Hi Steve, Do you or anyone else on here know anything about this story. I can't find anything about it anywhere. It's a great story if it's true. I heard that Gary Moore told this story during an television interview. I will try to tell it as best as I can. It went something like this.... Apparently Gary Moore was playing with Skid Row at the Whiskey A Go-Go. They were playing there to only a handful of people over a few nights. On this particular night a group of people arrived and sat at the back. Shortly afterwards, they heard someone from the group shouting out, 'play Paddy McGinty's goat'. They ignored it, but this person kept shouting out, 'play Paddy McGinty's goat'. After a while they got really annoyed and yelled back something like, 'Get up here if you can do any better'. Then, up came the boys from Led Zeppelin and absolutely blew the place away. There was queues down the street for nights afterwards. Apparently it was John Bonham (probably pissed) yelling for Paddy McGinty's goat. Anyone heard about this? I thought it was really funny and could just imagine Bonzo doing something like that.
