I subscribe to their mailing list and got the email in the pre-order, but it was already sold out before I could blink. Reminds me of Ticketmaster and their pre-sale shenanigans. Hope all 350 signed copies remain in individual collections and not bought for profiteering, as I refuse to purchase from scalpers/brokers.

Yep. I’ve been seeing and hearing the same thing as they are doing 45 to 80 minute (abbreviated sets). . He just needs to take a break from touring, rest his voice for a good year or so, so it’s not completely shot like Paul Stanley’s (KISS) and work on remastering / compiling the CP outtakes, video footage for dvd, blu-ray, etc, but today we now have confirmation of CP masters burned in 2008 fire. 2008 UMG Fire includes Coverdale Page masters as gone, too, so we may never get a deluxe box set unless the source masters were transferred to digital and/or in Coverdale or Page’s private vaults.

I (finally) picked up the RUSH Moving Pictures 30th Anniversary edition (CD/DVD) w/ 5.1 audio and video (bonus 3 songs w/ unreleased version of “vital signs”. I cranked the cd 5.1 mix in my car. & was not disappointed at all. The last two anniversary (bonus cd/dvd 5.1 audio) editions (A Farewell To Kings & Hemispheres) are the next to pick up.

I saw him last summer with Peter Frampton. Both were great, but we noticed he (Miller) talked a lot about himself between songs instead of playing songs.

I spoke with Eddie trunk (Sirius Xm channel 106 volume) yesterday about the Universal Music Group Fire (which has been kept silent for over 10 years about the great number of artists/bands source master tapes being destroyed from 2008) immediately after he spoke with much Ricky Warwick (Black Star Riders/Thin Lizzy). They’re playing entire the Black Rose album in its entirety as thin Lizzy at 4 festivals in Europe this summer. New BSR album, “Another State of Grace”is due 9/6.

Yep. I learned the masters most likely were digitized, so there’s still hope in a CP deluxe release. Also, DC & JP are known to keep a lot of their own source tapes.
