  1. I picked up the new Circle cd. Great concept album. I wish it had a few more tracks (bonus tracks) though. I couldn’t find it in stores in Atlanta, so I picked it up when in visited SC last weekend.

Caring means spending money, not writing a few sentences. Not sure about a “cash grab” since he cancelled his small club dates.

Cash grab for VV, since he’s made first public appearances for $$$$ in Atlanta, etc (riding coattails of Gene’s box set last year, appearing on pre-kiss cruise launch party last October & Kiss’ 2nd farewell tour) after being a recluse for the past 20 something years.

Who really cares? He’d be playing small clubs. Hasn’t done shit outside of his work with KISS...

You must have, since you responded.

He just made a cash grab earlier in the year, since KISS is doing their 2nd farewell tour.

Sounds very promising and especially with the band's involvement. Makes sense for a documentary to be at Cannes as not a career spanning documentary and allows more focus and detail with a specified period. Perhaps, this won't be the last one and will continue on from 1970, where it ends in the doc. We shall see as details are announced over the next few weeks. Cannes festival runs from May 14-25, so coming up really soon as next week!

One could only hope it would eventually be released in a limited edition box set (dvd w/ music from bath 1970 or similar period: audio cd, dvd-audio, vinyl , digital, etc) after playing in limited run theaters globally. If this did well then may a series every few years. Maybe this could tie in with promised career spanning Led Zeppelin live audio JP mentioned over a year ago.

    Currently in post-production,

They’re wrapping up things/decisions are already made based on shooting & editing scripts and what the surviving members agree with those making film before final edit/cut. Any other wish lists are purely speculation until real details are provided officially by the surviving members and reported to us. Until then, we’ll see.

    Check out this classic Moody/Coverdale

This is some of their best stuff (although the keys are sounding really dated). I wish they used a Hammond b3 with rotary speakers instead.  My favorite era of whitesnake is slide it in.

I've been reading after the Dallas show the band spend over an hour meeting with fans outside after the gig.

Have you seen them before, or is this your first show?

Thx. Cool 😎👍 no. First time seeing them. I have all their stuff except pressure and time , their ep and their self titled album. I’ve also got a British classic rock magazine special edition best of sampler cd with a few unreleased / rare tracks.

  8. I’m here for the music. JP promised a series of live music releases over the next 10 years over a year ago (per Rolling Stone) and his solo album now for 10+ years he has been making the same promises (of next year; every year). With LZ’s 50th Anniversary, it would be a great time for us to finally see at least one official LZ live audio, Clarksdale Reissue (with bonus tracks +Dvd/Blu-Ray concert) , Coverdale Page (w/ bonus tracks +dvd/blu Ray concert), XYZ stuff and/or JP solo studio release in multiple formats (digital, limited cd , blu ray audio, and limited edition vinyl). Anything other than that is just a waste of our time. Baiting just to get clicks on social media is exhausting.  We’ve got umpteen books, posters and bought the remastered LZ studio catalog multiple times over in all formats, etc and aren’t interested in shoes, etc. With the advent of virtual (holographic) concerts like Dio, Zappa, etc, , I’m surprised Led Zeppelin hasn’t pre-recorded one, too.

Agreed. A rock biopic either has to go all out with the drama and glorification or has to be very dark and disturbing. This one nailed the former, where BR tried to walk between and fell flat. And if the guy who played Vince doesn't also play Randy Rhoads in an Ozzy movie I'll be disappointed.

He does look like Randy Rhodes (R.I.P.). The guy playing Ozzy had his mannerisms, ‘85/‘86 hair down to the tattoos and ants.

    lol.

I wonder about the setlist for the coming US tour that never eventuated. Surely White Summer was gone.

I bet it was essentially the same set list as the 80 tour over Europe ‘80 (maybe with a few more “rockers” to encourage Bonzo).

  11. Epic disagreement between Plant and Page just before the Atlantic 40 HBO filmed / Reunion w/ Jason Bonham sitting in on drums for his father in 1988. RP didn’t want to do Stairway and JP got upset. JP’s performance that evening was lackluster / uneven at best as a possible result of that last minute disagreement just before going on stage.
