I sincerely hope we get a terrific Page/Beck/Clapton cover story to read this summer!
Cheers!
I hope so too.... In the new RollingStone issue (U2 cover), it is indicated that recent Beck/Clapton union was very successful and that they "may" book a tour soon ....
Perhaps Page will complete the Picture...
tks again for your dedication....

I don't know about Canada but in the US, overseas magazines are usually 3 weeks to a month behind their release date.
...Tks.Nine,
Someone earlier on this board informed me the same, that the magazines are behind in Canada (couple of months at least) I must go to CHAPTERS in the next few days for update...

Uncut was in the States. You should be able to get January's on Ebay now. The Feburary one is Leonard Cohn and March is Neil Young.
Thank you AEN27 for your prompt reply...I sure will....
-
Except the last one, they are from Led Zeppelin and Related: Hexagonal Experiences, which I had been looking for for weeks, and found it finally on ebay. I just got it today and wanted to share some of the beautiful pictures from it. I love them too. You're welcome!
...Thanks for sharing these amazing photos and informing us of the photo book...
I have a question... does this book has many rare photos or is it mostly writing...(I love what you posted so far....)
There are so many others, Ie. Neal Preston....(I am sure of this one that I will get)
thanks for info...

I thought I'd open the thread with everything published since the start of the New Year.
Each is still available as a back issue thru their respective websites. Anticipate several
new issues available on newstands in the next few months.
I have not seen the Jan' Uncut issue yet....I am under the impression that it is still coming, perhaps little late release in Canada/U.S.?
Thank you for the update on all the releases....I will see what I can dig....

'aen27' all of the pictures you posted were really great, but these two are just amazing!! The first one is sooooooo hot, that I may just have to print it out and drool all over it!! And I just absolutely love his expression in the second one - so innocent, yet not....
...You got that right ILJP, in addition to his "so innocent, yet not..." expressions, I also love the jacket....makes me wana start Sexy Fashionable Jimmy Page, photos  with scarves of course.........

The guitar may have been stolen on April 13th 1970, the day the band was flown from Minneapolis to Milwaukee to Toronto to Montreal for their gig at the Forum that night.
Cole's Winnepeg '70 anecdote, if it is presented correctly here, is worthy of further
examination as we know for certain the guitar was stolen in 1970 enroute to a
concert in Canada. However, it doesn't seem to be entirely accurate (boating down the river) as they were partying at the International Inn Hotel in Winnepeg while the event was moved at 7pm from Winnepeg Stadium to Winnepeg Arena on account of heavy rains.
I can add Peter Grant insisted on being paid in US cash as opposed to Government of Manitoba checks and Ann Stark of the 'Winnepeg Free Press' interviewed the band after the gig at 3am in their hotel (International Inn Hotel) near the airport. There is no talk
of boating in the interview published.
The advert in Rolling Stone was not placed by Jimmy until nearly three years later.
Thank you Steve.
From the Hammer of The Gods.......
"The Tour began in Vancouver on March 21, 1970. On the way to Canada Jimmy's favorite Les Paul guitar was stolen off a truck at the airport. Page later advertised for it in Rolling Stone, just a photo with no name and a reward offer. But it never turned up."
--------
"We were stuck in Winnipeg"
"The next day was off, and Led Zeppelin was rotting in its hotel. One of Cole's specialties was finding things to keep the band amused.............."Maybe we could go on a boat trip or something." Grant said, "Not that you cunt. Can't we get some strippers or dancers?" so Richard rounded up four strippers for a private performance in the hotel."
it is confirmed from here, they were NOT on a boat, but in Hotel.....
You are right as always in every detail.....Regards.....

Return no questions asked I assume. Interesting bit on the time of it's loss. On the way to Winnipeg ?Vancouver ? Certainly not 1970
From what I remember...Richard Cole writes in Stairway to Heaven, the Band was on their way to Winnipeg....the date/year has to be Aug. 29, 1970 Man Pop Festival, Winnipeg, MB....
Richard also writes about their "extra-curricular" activities/possiblities of renting Boat, down by the amazing Assiniboine River to relieve "bordeom"...........
perhaps, the advertisement appeared much later?
(Just a little personal interest in this particular city.....)
