  1. “President Clinton made me cry on Saturday [at the dinner] ” Guy answered. “He spoke like he knew me from a child. He went all the way back to the farm [in Louisiana] where I was. He made me drop tears. He even plugged the [Chicago] club. “He told me personally he wanted to be there just to announce me. He talked like he was still president. He was pointing his finger in my direction by what I had accomplished and what I deserved. My God, how could I come from picking cotton and sitting here listening to the former president and the president of the United States talking about you? “That’s a long ways from sharecropping and making less than 50 cents a day.” Buddy Guy
  2. Jupiter, Moon Align tonight : Jupiter will appear just a bit over one-half degree from the limb of the moon. (One-half degree is roughly equal to the moon’s apparent width). In the western United States, the closest approach will come before sunset, but moon and planet will still appear to be quite close together as darkness falls. http://news.yahoo.com/jupiter-moon-align-christmas-skywatching-treat-120844842.html
  3. What a great band they where. During the last few years, I've just started to get into them. There is no Thin Lizzy without Phil Lynott ...IMHO
  4. I like the dead, seen them a few times betwen '87 - '91.... if you like to party and watch great musicians jam, a dead show was the place to be when they toured.
  5. ^ What the fuck has happened to our quality TV shows? I was thinking the very same thing, after watching an episode of M*A*S*H earlier today.

  9. They were far from boring the first time I saw them. They were opening for Ozzy after the release of Master of Pupets, one of the craziest shows I've been too. Cliff had a wild solo during Anesthesia...by that point in '86 / '87 they were huge in the NYC tri state area..kill em all and ride the lightning were on the top of the play list at any highschool party, at least any party that mattered. The band came on stage to a heroes welcome and proceeded to bolw the doors off the Brendan Byrne Arena. At that time, the band had no air play on thd radio and MTV had not been given a video to play until Justice's One. The other shows I've seen since, 5 maybe 6 shows, never matched that intensity.
