  1. Is it this photograph that you mean? If it is so, this was the one taken in summer or autumn of 1982. At that time, this photograph was published in the music magazine December edition (named Rocking On of Japan. A short explanation of "Jimmy Page and wife" was recorded there) This woman would be Charlotte. It is doubtless. I remember that I was very shocked at her impression far different from her young days(lol) From it several months ago, Jimmy had received an interview of another Japanese music magazine named ''Music Life'' June edition. Interviewer of at that time of ML magazine wrote that ''Jimmy came to Swan Song office to receive this interview with his wife Charlotte''. A lot of Zeppelin fans of Japan at that time would have read it. Of course I was one of them too! (This book might come out if looking for. ) I had read an article in another bbs that Charlotte went out of the Old Mill House, and moved to another house in Windsor at the end of 1982 or at the beginning of 1983. They would not have been together in those days(1984 or 1985). It seems that Jimmy was solitary until meeting Patricia from parting from Charlotte. Poor Jimmy.....
  2. A little while ago,I found the following writing in a certain place by chance. If he(she?) is only a ZEPP fan, why did he get such a Christmas card??? I am very jealousy for this person from the bottom of my heart Topic: Led Zeppelin -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Expert: Chris M. Zangara Date: 6/7/2007 Subject: Jimmy Page autograph Question Hi Chris ! Could you tell me if Jimmy Page changed his autograph ? If he did, Do you know in which period ? Because recently I acquired a family christmas card signed by page (Jimmy, Charlotte and Scarlet)and the Pages's autograph is very similar than the autograph that he does today. Thank's a lot !! Answer Hello again Manel, Thank you for sending the picture of Jimmy's autograph on the Christmas card. It's really not all that different from Page's usual signature but you can tell it was done very meticulously as it is clear and smooth. You may see other autographs of Page that are smaller, without as many "mm" looking curves, etc -- but that's probably as he's simply signing a quick autograph as opposed to something like this where he obviously sat down and took his time. I have a couple Robert Plant autographs from the same year and they are very different but you can still tell it's his signature. The only way to guess the time period of your Page autograph is to consider the time period in which Jimmy owned Plumpton Place. Jimmy bought Plumpton Place, East Sussex in 1971 and sold it in 1980 following a hardly-ever reported tragedy when a 19 year old fan died from an apparant drug overdose during a party on the grounds. No confirmation if Page was actually present that night. Page spent most of his time at Plumpton Place following Robert's hiatus due to a broken foot during most of 1976 and some of 77. During that time he would often let fans walk the grounds and sometimes invite them in if he deemed they were not harmful or to rabid a Zep fan. He also did a few charity gigs in local pubs around that time, one famous one with Ron Wood from The Rolling Stones, just down the street at the Half Moon pub. I'm going to assume that because of all this activity during 76 and early 77 - this was when this autograph was most likely created. If I find anything more, I'll be sure to post another follow-up. Thanks Manel!
  3. Ségolène Royal and François Hollande never married though they had four children
  4. Jimmy said in interview of Japanese music magazine of '82(after releasing sound track album) that ''I think the marriage system is not important, and I live for 12 years with the same woman. You will understand my idea.'' But later he married. Was there a change in some frames of his mind? I have not heard British people disregard the system of the marriage. (especially in old times) It is exactly French's idea.
  5. To tell the truth, I had been thinking groupies were kinds of bitches, sluts and whores from the 70's. But such a my idea changed a little after having read Pamela's book 'I'm with the band'. She first admits herself obediently a groupie. And from her standpoint she was writing various descriptions in that era by a very obedient touch. I enjoyed it very much. I think she is an excellent writer(though I have not read her another books yet) However, groupies are only groupies after all. I think that Jimmy is a cunning man in a sense. He seemed that he clearly divided groupies whom he enjoyed games during the tours with a true serious partner of his life. It would have been only his child's mother he loved sincerely at that time. They seemed not to have a good relationship in the first half of the 70's. This has been partially described in Pamela's book. Perhaps it is guessed that Jimmy had relationships with a lot of women in that period to escape from the tension of severe tours and from suffering he didn't go well with the woman who he really loved. He did not continue long relationships with these groupies by that token. Jimmy said the following about his Led Zeps days(perhaps about latter of 70's) "The four members of Led Zeppelin were very different characters in their lifestyles, and that's what made them tick. Two lived in the South and two lived in the Midlands and, apart from when we got together to do rehearsals and write and record, we were all family men with separate lives. Yet when the four members bonded together musically, it brought out this different, fifth, element." http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertai...ock-557876.html
  6. Thank you very much for your researching details,Knebby. BTW, this pic is at the Melody Maker Pop Poll Awards Party on September 1975. I remember Plant family's auto accident occurring about a month ago and Jimmy Page said about it in interview of Rolling Stone in 1976 by Cameron Crowe. 'My child was too in the car. But it was never publicized,Jesus......' Why was it never publicized at that time? This is an additional question. The following pic is from the same day. Maggie Bell is holding Scarlet, and who is the man at right side?
  7. My favorites.I love Jimmy's figure around 1979 best. He looks matured as a man than before. with Charlotte at April 1970. I think they were a very beautiful couple! Doesn't anyone have more their pics? with Charlotte backstage of Knebworth Festival at August 4th 1979. Who is the woman backward in this pic?
  8. Look at this thread. Her name is Audrey Hamilton. It was said that she was a groupie of Robert Plant during '77 US tour. http://forums.ledzeppelin.com//index.php?showtopic=6495
  9. The woman might possibly be Jaan Uhelszki of Creem Magazine.
  10. Does anybody know who is the woman near Jimmy? Perhaps these pics are from '77 US tour. My friend told me that it's Charlotte. But that woman seems to be a different person to me. However,I had never her pics from April '70 till August '79. Meanwhile, I do not know what features she was at all. And she looks a different person in all photographs
  11. I understand what you mean. Then from now I will look for these within the published range or on the websites. However, I'm not going to read books like HOTG or Mr Cole's. Because I heard LZ band members terribly hate these books. By the way I happened to find John Paul's interview concerning his family. His eldest daughter seems to have changed her job. From a 1999 interview in Australian Musician: Q: Where did you meet your wife Mo and what are your daughters doing? A: "We met in 1965 during a double date with a man who played plastic sax, and have been together since. She was a spotlight operator in a West End theatre. My eldest girl is a TV producer, the second an animation producer although she's currently looking after her babies, and the youngest is a massage therapist."
  12. I had wondered about their social life in the 70's. Why did not they go with their partners to such an event? (ex: Robert with Maureen,Jimmy with Charlotte....and so on) For these cases, most members of Beatles and Rolling Stones were always with their wives or girlfriends. Because Led Zeppelin was not so, I was not at all satisfactory. I wanted to see the photographs which they were with their beautiful wives who had dressed up. (sorry, such photos which I wanted to see are limited in Led Zep era.) Was it their policy?
  13. Many thanks for everyone. This pic is from the same day(August 4th 1979). Who is the man behind Jimmy? Young Ross Halfin? This pic is young day's Charlotte(60's). Probably it was scanned from CREAM DVD. I think her blonde hair was amazing beautiful for a long time. Is that a real blonde or a fake? Scarlet seems to have succeeded her mother's hair. Is this a rare example though blonde hair is generally called an recessive inheritance?
  14. Thank you SteveAJones and AllisonAdler. This pic is recorded in the book called '#001 THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO SONGS BY LED ZEPPELIN by DAVE LEWIS'. The explanation of the pics are not recorded at all. From the right side, Jimmy and Charlotte. This is correct. But the woman with long hair who is standing on the left side.....who? And there is another pic mystery. This is a pic recorded in another thread(Main Forum/Photos). Jimmy is holding baby Scarlet. It's very adorable! Would this be a photo taken when and where? If it is difficult to specify the place and the date, it is good in rough.
  15. This pic is backstage at the Knebworth August 4th 1979. My friend scanned it from the book. Who is a backward woman in this pic? Does anybody know who she is?
  16. I got to know recently who a blonde woman holding the child who appeared briefly in John Paul's fantasy scene of TSRS was. It was my long term mystery. However why was it not Jimmy's scene but John Paul's ? Had Jimmy acknowledged it? I know that the first movie director of TSRS and Charlotte were old friends. Did he take that scene?
