WQLN (PBS) STATION IN Erie had a neat program featuring music from the 60's. Performers included Davy Jones, Paul Revere and The Raiders, Mitch Ryder and most of the members of Jefferson Airplane. Who is the singer? She sang White Rabbit and Somebody To Love...not like Grace Slick but it was still good to hear those tunes..The program was a fund raiser for this station..They were also selling a CD and/or DVD of the performances....

Hello Jag: I understand the difference between the Canadian aand American banking practices I consider myself an advocate rather than an activist. I think it's important to take a stand against what one believes is wrong. I also think it's important to acknowledge and reinforce what is right and what is working. I have serious health and safety concerns about some of the occupiers.I do not want anyone to get sick or hurt. Call me over-protective. I have alot of things bothering me about the Ontario health care system.from the experience of watching my father become ill with dementia. I will never forgive or forget some of the things I saw and heard during his decline. Now I have an ill mother. I was upset so I asked alot of questions to help me cope with this crisis. I realize that I must keep healthy in order to be an effective advocate for change.More importantly I must stay positive and healthy in order to care for my mother. Juliet

The town of Goderich in Ontario was hit by a F3 tornado in August....The tornado destroyed many buildngs and most of the historic town square. The FORD plant at Talbotville near St. Thomas closed last week putting many out of work at that plant as well as a related factory...O CANADA... I have not known any factory worker who did not listen to rock music... Juliet

I lived in Waterloo in the 70's when I was a student at Wilfrid Laurier University... In my final year I lived in the same area of town where the RIM building is situated....it wasn't built when I lived there..now the whole area has seen amazing development over the past 30 years...so I'm very sad to hear this news...very sad for the community as well as the staff.... Hopefully Jim and his staff will pull through...they need to re-open "The Loo"...it was a campus pub in the 70's for Laurier and Univeristy of Waterloo students...it was in the basement of an historic hotel in Uptown Waterloo....have a brain-storming session there.... Hello: I'm sending thoughts and prayers to fellow Canadians in Slave Lake Alberta. Many have lost their homes and belongings. Even the town is destroyed by the recent wildfires. I also send the same concern to flood victims in Manitoba and Quebec. It won't be a very good Victoria Day weekend for you....I share your pain as I am also dealing with a family situation where things are beyond my control... According to an add in The Hamilton Spectator, ANVIL is opening for Alice Cooper this month when he performs in Hamilton... I won't be going....to any concert...due to the excessive price of gas. No politician is willing to cut the high taxes on gas...perhaps Alice can talk to the CEO of Suncor and/or Stephen Harper if he meets either on the golf course somewhere Juliet

Over the weekend I heard Going to California on fm 96 and The Rain Song on BOB FM...both stations are in London Canada.... I have the radio on because I use my car for work. THE JUNOS were excellent.. I loved Sarah Harmer's cover of Joni Mitchell's tune, Carrie. This was part of a tribute to Mitchell, Gordon Lightfoot, Neil Young and The Band...BRAVO... Neil Young accepted The Humanitarian Award. His speech was graceful, a bit humourous and definitely humble...He even smiled... A great night of superb talent...Arcade Fire....Hedly... Sarah McLauchlin were some of the performers....Drake was a super host...nice to see clips of JUNOS AWARDS from the past... Juliet PS May we remember at this time ROGER ABBOT...not a musician but a fine Canadian comedian/actor who was part of the comedy troupe, The Royal Canadian Air Farce..He passed away...R.I.P.
