In wintertime I have a habit of occasionally buying a CD with a Spanish flavor...I like the tunes to exercise to which helps me from getting to down and out in this cold, dreary season.. I was cruising in a CD store and found Shakira's LAUNDRY SERVICE...It was a reasonable price so I bought it....some tunes are very hot...hot...hot...others are very mellow... Well..I won't become a belly dancer anytime soon but it's fun to try....and it does warm a person up !!!!! J.......yah!!!!

Good Evening All: Well...I did something kinda wild this eve...I went to a local coffee shop that has a drive-thru..You can pick up your coffee at a window instead of getting out of your car and going in... Anyhow..ROCK N' ROLL was playing on the radio...so I cranked it up and said to the staff, "I hope you don't mind if I play this Zeppelin tune nice and loud." She said, "Not at all. The younger ones may not know the group but I sure do." I said " ALL RIGHT....LED ZEPPELIN WILL ALWAYS BE THE # 1 ROCK BAND IN THE WORLD." We both grinned...I drove away with my coffee...well actually it was tea.... Juliet PS The tune was played on CLASSIC ROCK....103.9...THE HAWK....

Over the week, I have heard that the kind of van they were using is going to be banned by some schools... I heard that the Miinister of Education in Nova Scotia has banned them while the investigation is going on. There is also a school in Kitchener who will not be using them. I had a job @ 20 years ago where I had to transport people in a 12-15 passenger van. I had to have a Class F licence. To get this licence you had to have a very strict road and writtten test, as well as, an eye test and check-up including questions about drug and alcohol consumption. Juliet

When I hear about Ohio and radio I can't help but recall the sit com WKRP in CINCINNATI from the late 70's/early 80's....it was a great show...AND WHAT A GREAT CAST..Lonnie Anderson, Harold Hesseman.. I know this is Sabbath thread but if Ozzy plans to sing any of those tunes at his solo gig this weekend in London Canada, I hope he has some hot tea first....Winter has returned with a venegence..Not only is it cold but there is a wind chill..and it's just going to get colder...snowsqualls will be happening as well to add to the fun of winter here in Ontario,eh??? Ally: There may be alot of Zep airplay on the stations you listen to in B.C. or where ever...if it bothers you...avoid the stations... I don't believe the stations in the London, Ontario are saturated by Zep tunes....I don't think there are enough Zep tunes... Robert's gig with Strange Sensation in London in 05 was close to sold out if not completely sold out. The concert hall holds @ 8500 people. There were young guys, as well as, middle age rockers....There's alot of Zep fans in this area so bring on the tunes...you won't get any complaints from me and probably many others.. ..Sad news to report on one of Canada's fine female punk musicians Bif Naked a.k.a. Beth Torbert, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She revealed this personal story during a radio interview on The Strombo Show hosted by George S. of CBC' s THE HOUR.. I heard Bif in 05 when she opened for Billy Idol in London Canada. Bif just blew me away with her performance. Her well known tune I LOVE MYSELF TODAY is a great rocker. She also does an excellent job of covering Metallica's NOTHING ELSE MATTERS. Bif is married to sports writer Ian Walker. They reside in Vancouver. My thoughts and prayers are with Bif, Ian and their loved ones at this very difficult time BON CHANCE LA CHANTEUSE EXTRAORDINAIRE... Juliet

I live in a snow belt area of Ontario...it appears there will be snow during the weekend Ozzy is set to perform..however that is 2 weeks from tonight..I should know by now that just because the forecast calls for snow...the weather can change quickly at this time of year... I sure hope it will be good travelling weather so I can go and RAWK OUT!!!!!!
