They laid waste to everything. What a crucial time that was...1986-87, when rap and hip-hop stormed into mainstream white consciousness. Public Enemy's first three albums are still their best...the essential ones to own. "Yo! Bum Rush the Show", "It Takes a Nation of Millions...", and "Fear of a Black Planet" still have extraordinary power. I was lucky to see them in concert in their prime.
