boylollipop Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 - are there any plans to release this footage without all the fantasy sequences? I´d like to see this performance in full. Quote
SteveAJones Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Absolutely not, they don't own the rights to the film. Also, the performance was not filmed in it's entirety. There are huge gaps in the footage which then made fantasy sequences necessary. Quote
boylollipop Posted December 21, 2007 Author Posted December 21, 2007 -sounds strange, why would they stop filming in the middle of a song? Quote
SteveAJones Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 -sounds strange, why would they stop filming in the middle of a song? To change film canisters, get better angles, whatever. The idea was to film across three nights and compile the best of the best but the director failed to get a complete show. Quote

theremin Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 the producer who filmed the show was filming with 35 millimeter film...since that was back in the 70's, they were limited with cameras and film so when they were filming, maybe the film would run out or they would move around so since they filmed all three nights, had fantasy sequences, and filmed on a replica stage in august of 1974, they were able to complete the movie Quote
