FuzzyMerkin
76. Okkervil River - The Stage Names YESSSS! Definitely not album of the year but it's nice to see them getting a nod.
manderlyh
The only album on that list that I have is #8--Modest Mouse.
Kissandra
Wow, Ryan Adams is high up on that list . I like at least two songs from that album and they're incredibly similar (Two, Everybody Knows). None of the others stuck out. No Alter Bridge?
Jarlaxle 56
I still need to listen to that "Broken Social Scene Presents: Kevin Drew" album....damn, too many good albums!!!! Edit: I've heard a grand total of five albums on that list... Edited November 27, 2007 by Jarlaxle

Kissandra
And we can be all thankful for that Oh, really ...well, I love them . Their last album wasn't nearly as good as their debut though.
GetTheLedOut
Oh, really ...well, I love them . Their last album wasn't nearly as good as their debut though. I tried to give them an honest listen (i.e. not one tainted by my opinion of Creed), and the music still came off as forced, which was one of the problems (albeit not the biggest) problem with Creed. I was hesitant to like them at first 'cause they're descendants of Creed, but my mom's listening to their album in the kitchen forced me to hear them and eventually I admitted to myself that I loved that album ("One Day Remains"). My favorite song of theirs is 'Burn It Down'. I don't know of anyone who doesn't like that song. Same for 'In Loving Memory'--such a beautiful song. That particular song seems bland to me, plus it doesn't help that their singer is even more Eddie Vedder-esque than Scott Stapp. (Note: I mean no disrespect to Eddie, as he is one if not the finest frontman of the nineties, however, he is so good that so many people have tried to copy his style, although they don't do it with half the craft Eddie does)

I don't hear that at all. I never liked Vedder's singing. Stapp attempting to be like Vedder I can hear, but not Kennedy. Not in the least. Which song, by the way? I mentioned two. DBrim
I'm not really a fan of ANY of those albums. Where's the Joe Bonamassa? Or the Steve Vai?
FuzzyMerkin
Listening to Boxer, right now. Very good album. Is it? I think I need to check out a couple of bands off that list. In particular those I never heard of before... Edited November 28, 2007 by FuzzyMerkin
