Then later that day a kid I went to school with drowned in that same pool. Tramatic, I suffered from survivor's guilt for a very long time. HYE been boogie boarding? I was a lifeguard for two summers and we were trained to deal with similar situations -- drowning people need to be approached very carefully, as you know. No, I've never been boogie-boarding. Pagefan55 Posted April 14, 2015 Share Posted April 14, 2015 ^^ I don't know all of the details, but I know my friend was scuba diving at the bottom of a pool, then he ran out of air, and then he couldn't get his weight belt off (which would have allowed him to resurface) He was stuck at the bottom of the pool with no air, then he began to suck in lots of water, and then he had to be rescued.
