I couldn't agree more about the 80s! Things became a bit too proper...From documentaries, I could see the change in people's mindsets in the 80s! And I love very few bands from the 80s like Bon Jovi and INXS and music became a bit too ummm "pop oriented" and "diva centric" LOL!

I know what you mean! Its like one minute your life seems just fine and the next its all just ripped from under you! Gosh! If there is one thing the earthquake incident taught me is that "life is too short and never ever take anything for granted!".

I truly think you deserve the tiltle "The Encyclopedia of Music" or something! Your knowledge of the blues, psychedelic rock and countless other genres is just so extensive! Thanks to you, I (during these past couple of weeks) have got into so many bands that its getting pretty tough to keep count! LOL! I, to be honest consider you to be the "voice of reason" aro...

Well, we Kiwis are very casual and laid-back. For instance, at my Uni, the professors do not give a damn whether students are late to class or do their homework on time, etc. Sometimes people just walk out of class if they find it too boring and there is no rule against smoking cigs on campus or guys having waist length hair! LOL!

(cont) receiving end of the moderator's wrath when I have on 4 occassions received particularly rude emails from one of the moderators where in one, she actually called me "an immature cow"..yes! Those were her exact words! I haven't been on that damn site in 2 years! And it feels good! Forums are supposed to be fun (in a good way) and not melodramatic 24X7!

Awww...you're very welcome! I'm just stating a fact! And I couldn't agree with you more! Its finding these obscure bands who prove to be absolute gems which makes all this research so worth it! I try to stay away from the radio! LOL! Somehow, today's mainstream doesn't appeal to me much! Love underground stuff, indie and of course 60s psychedel...

By the way, I found your comment about the Queen catalogue and Freddie's solo work in your thread, really funny! LOL! And again, it wasn't you who got me thinking about the whole "getting banned" situation! I have just witnessed it in some other fan forums (where people used to "report" off-topic posts to the moderators) and got a bit scared!
