  1. This was a movie I didn't think I would like and was surprised that I did. The run time didn't bother me which is unusual since I have a short attention span with movies. I was in New Orleans last Summer taking a walking tour of the Garden District and thought one of the houses looked oddly familiar. It was the house that Benjamin grew up in the movie. Very pretty.
  2. I know, I know... I just meant that he probably bought it for the humor and not to any ties to the Catholic church.
  3. Maybe he thought the shirt was funny and wore it just for the humor.
  4. I am glad to hear that you love Top Gear too...and James May. What is it with Englishmen with the name of James that I like? Haha

  5. Basically all of the rituals, none of the guilt.
  6. My question is how did he find a shirt in that size.
  7. This might not make any difference but Anglican churches are considered "Catholic light". I was raised in the Episcopol(sorry, i am tired and can't spell today to save me life) church which came form the Church of England and it is jokingly referred to as that. A lot of the rituals and dogma come from the Catholic church.
  8. I would think that the Thelema's teachings go against the teachings of the Catholic Church. Plus, didn't Jimmy say once in an interview that his parents were not religious or go to church? That's it! Enough confusion already. I am going to have to sit this man down and get the answers out of him.
  9. I love that we both want to look like boys. Jimmy and Robert did look good in girl's clothes. :-)

  10. Yay! A boy joined the group!

  11. Is in a very goofy mood today. I have been depressed and cranky the past couple of weeks.

So I welcome the feeling of buoyancy and peace(and that tomorrow is Friday)

  12. Tapes??!! I remember those old relics.
  13. Thank you everyone for making me feel welcome.

  14. This thread has been an interesting read. I was unaware of the "Underwear bomber": "Is that a bomb in your pants or are you happy to see me?" "Both!" The fact remains that a very disturbed man that caused the death to thousands and worldwide fear has been killed. I don't mourn him. I personally don't want to see photographic proof of his death and I don't want my kids to either.
  15. That would be cool. It confuses me and at the same time I think of it as a puzzle that I want to solve. So many questions but how do I find the answers? I knew I should have knocked on his door when I had the chance.
  16. Thanks Steve. Hmmmm.... Maybe I am dense but I did not get from his fantasy sequence all of what he explained. I love that he is so intense. It makes me want to know more.
  17. I just would like to learn what about this man and his philosophy interests him. I have done light research on Crowley and so far, I am not impressed. I guess I want someone who understands Crowley to help me understand the fascination. I know he has an intellectual approach to Crowley, I just wonder what he thinks of Crowley's views on women, etc.
  18. I am so very curious to know how, or if at all, his affinity for Crowley changed over the years. Now that he is older and a bit wiser, what are his feelings toward the "wickidest(?) man on Earth".
  19. I just found this topic. How the hell am I expected to get anything done now?! "Where is she??!!" "Staring at the computer screen. Has been....for hours."
