  1. Page's solo here is freakin' epic! Nobody but Jimmy can play like that.
  2. Jimmi plays some of the funkiest licks ever here, and also lays down one of his coolest solo's ever as well.
  3. Never seen this before. At 7:30 they play Candy Store Rock...and it rocks! Don't think I've ever heard them (or anyone) play this song live before. Am I wrong?
  4. This has to be some the sweetest guitar playing I've ever heard Jimmy do, simply stunning.
  5. Damn, this sounds good! But, where's the rest of it? Anybody have some info on this gig?
  6. To this day, that 'Spin You Round" song makes me nauseous, but I guess that could be considered an accomplishment for some. Didn't know he was addicted to cosmetic surgery (300 procedures), pretty crazy shit man. RIP https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2016/oct/24/dead-or-alive-frontman-pete-burns-dies-aged-57
  7. I always skip Misty Mountain Hop. One of the few LZ songs that was killer in the studio but just never worked live. 2nd place goes to NFBM. Not that it didn't work live (which it did), I just find it to be a bit too monotonous for repeated listening. 3rd place goes to Kashmir, for pretty much the same reason.
  8. Thanks Steve, good stuff. My favorite line: " "I like to say that I never got into trouble. Rather, I would find myself in trouble. It was all so spontaneous then. Most importantly, it was all so much fun".
  9. No matter how many times I watch this clip/concert, it never fails to give me goosebumps. The performance, the playing, its all there in a big way. Extra points for the decadence factor as well. Bloody brilliant!
  10. To me, the most interesting thing Kramer has to say here is that when it came time to mix TSRTS he thought the vocals were weak and tried to get Plant to "re-do" some of it in the studio...Plant refused. Kudos to Plant for that, but, I doubt his voice was in any better shape at that point in time anyways. Personally, I've never had a problem with Plant's vocals from TSRTS/1973 era. Sure, it was rough around the edges, but I think it blows away 'everything' he ever did after that. I'm talking in a purely live context here.
  11. I love Jeff Beck, but I really dislike his latest record. Rosie Bones does nothing for me and couldn't possibly have anything in common with Jeff Beck, and it shows. Also, the production, to my ears is garbage, especially the drums. Sounds like Jeff's having a mid-life crisis at the age of 72. Either that or Rosie Bones has a really nice rack! Thats Jeff for ya.... 'Save The Children' is probably the worst title of a song in the history of song titles...no....its thee worst. This is Jeff Beck's protest album, I get it. Hopefully, he's gotten that out of his system, cause its really pretty silly IMO. O.I.L. - yep, Rosie Bones must have a nice rack, stupidest lyrics ever candidate right there. Get your flame on folks. But understand I've been listening to Beck for about 40 yrs and have seen him live 6 times before anyone tells me about Jeff Beck and his abilities. He's not beyond criticism so try not to freak out on me. This is my opinion.
